Steam Spring Sale March 13th - March 20th at 10am PT

Just picked up

Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2
TMNT : Splintered Fate
God of War
Death Stranding
The Oregon Trail ( modern version)
Lego Lord of The Rings
Lego The Hobbit
Alice Madness Returns
Ace Attorney trilogy

I think I'm done now

Got those:

You will be on an unforgettable ride with Dragon Age: Origins. I know I'm totally biased but that game was the modern peak point of RPG's for a long time. Still a masterpiece.

Unfortunately I cannot say the same thing about DA2. Storywise it has got a very important part in Dragon Age universe but other than that it's not a good game. Nevertheless it deserves one playthrough.

Bit of a weird sale. Elden ring and the dlc on their own are cheaper then buying them in a bundle.
They often have weird shit like that. I have seen bundles that are cheaper than buying the game on its own multiple times.

Looking for a Steamdeck'able arcade racer if anybody knows of one, Scud Racer, Ridge Racer, that sort of stuff. I wish Sega Rosso would give us a port of Initial D or something, feels like the whole genre has been dead for like 15+ years. I crave drifting and quick 20 minute play sessions.

All the neogeo pocket collection is finally cheap ($6 per bundle) so grabbed those and Live a Live for $18.

Updated.

Picked up:

Hades
Katana Zero
Undertale
Celeste
Spiritfarer
Doom
The Messenger
Ori and the Blind Forest

Spent about $40 bucks total.

Really wanted Dave the Diver, Cuphead, and Animal Well but the discounts on those games weren't deep enough for me to pull the trigger. Maybe next sale.

Does DA1 still hold up?

Quite a few super low discounts. Lowest price ever on Enter The Gungeon. I might gift a few copies.

Atlyss, an action RPG in Steam's Early Access is 50% off. Highly recommended.
It's a single dev project with an early 32bit aesthetic, by a former furry lewd artist doing code/art/music. Shortstacks & jiggle physics aside, it's not a sexual content game. Takes a lot of inspiration from Phantasy Star Online.
A new update with content and controller support is just around the corner.

Picked up:

Tony Hawk 1&2
Dead Space Remake
Heroes of Hammerwatch + DLC
Enter the Gungeon

That'll be all, wanted a story-based game to play while I wait for Clair Obscure next month and I've been meaning to pick up THPS 1&2 for awhile now (esp with 3&4 coming this summer). The others are cheap Steam Deck time killers for playing at work or while my fiancée's watching reality tv.

Lots of good stuff, tempted to pick up Rain World, which was mentioned in a thread recently and looks really great to me, and Tyranny.

Rain world is a mindset for sure, a masterpiece for those that do put in the time.

Don't go in expecting metroidvania, at all. It's unga bunga simulator. Pick up rocks and spears and try to survive a super hostile environment while being lost in a massive oppressive industrial apocalypse. Then when you pushed your luck too far into exploring, it starts to rain and panic ensues as you'll drown, inevitably.

$3.60

My new games:

Lost Ruins
The Citadel
Callisto Protocol: Deluxe
No More Heroes
Silver Case: Deluxe
Frostpunk Season Pass

THAT IS ALL FOR ME I AM NOT SPENDING ANOTHER DOLLAR GABEN!

Did a bit of browsing and I have to say that pricing games at $69.99 remains a psychological barrier even when it goes on sale. 20-25% off still makes it a $50+ purchase. That's still a full priced game. Half off is $35 and even at 70% off it's over $20. Publishers need to do more permanent price drops. It makes your game more attractive when it goes on sale and hits certain breakpoints.

In any event. Not buying anything this sale. Got multiple interesting new games coming in 2-4 weeks.
I get what you mean. I rarely look at percentage off any more because the digital nature of things means they're pretty much always based off the MSRP unlike physical games that need to be cleared to make space for new stock so their base price tends to slowly drop. I've found that I only ever buys things now when they're a new release that I really want (like MH Wilds) or I just wait until I can get it for sub $10 and even then only if it includes all the DLC.

Probably Obsidian at its finest, or close to anyway. What a great game. The perfect CRPG that start with if you never played this genre.
Definitely not my first, but it came out during my "black out period" where I wasn't playing many games (2012-2019), so I heard good things over the last few years and it's been on my radar ever since! Love the old Infinity Engine games and did play Pillars series a couple of years ago, which I loved.

Wanted to get sea of stars today. Got it earlier in the day thinking the sale is live but it wasn't on discount. All good as I really want to play it on steam deck.

Check outer wilds a few hours later then see sea of stars is now $10 less than what I paid for it.

Wtf….

Also robo cop game is $10!? Wow legit a good deal!

Picked up:

Hades
Katana Zero
Undertale
Celeste
Spiritfarer
Doom

Spent about $30 total

On that list you just got:

Play katana zero first. Quick and very enjoyable.

From there I'd recommend Celeste. Go big dick and see the true ending to truly feel giga accomplished.

End on hades as it likely will be the biggest time investment.

Six Days in Fallujah is 35% off and is an incredible game. It isn't quite as hardcore of a milsim as ARMA, but far more realistic than Battlefield. The videos and interviews they have before and after missions are excellent as well - no hammed-up hoorah shit here, this is real life grit.

10/10 sound design
9/10 campaign (if remaining 12 missions hold up to the first few)
8/10 AI squad
8/10 co-op mission generator

Absolute steal at $25. (oh, and it runs pretty well too)

Holy shit, this game actually got finished and released? I remember it was in limbo for many many years

edit: Oh, it's Early Access, well i'm sure they'll finish it someday

"Finished" is a stretch, lol. They're still adding 12 more missions to the campaign.

But that content that is here is superb - if they never released another update I still think the content available today is worth $25.

Got Chrono cross for my Steam deck. Fired it up and there's no way for it to not be 4:3 with borders and cut offs.

Embarrassing. Suikoden 1&2 don't have this issue nor does even Chrono trigger for fuck sakes.

Square needs to do a giga patch on this trash port.

Maybe grab Elden Ring and Erd Tree expansion if it gets a good discount. Moved over all my Souls-games to PC since free online. But From Softwares games usually stays at a consistently high price nowadays so not expecting much.
Shadow of ErdTree is not even discounted lmao , what a stupid sales .

Picked up
Late for work
and
Tricky Towers
Got a few other local co-op games that I am considering getting.
Also considering picking up Heavy Rain seeing as it is so cheap and I had no idea it released on PC.
