How's Blackwake??
think this sale (probably previous ones also but this one in particular because of how the year has been for me gaming wise) has finally solified the idea that at this moment in my life... actually buying games full price day 1 is the way to go.
(5 years Ago Rhaknar is gasping at this)
I had about 39 in my wallet when this started, and give or take a few more s from cards during it, that is what I spent. I look at what I bought, and either I havet touched it, or I have no interesting in touching (at least right now)
It's kinda like the humble monthly problem, except there at least I just treat it like another sub (like Netflix or whatever) so its kinda easy to forget, but the same problem applies, I usually never touch any of those monthly games. And they are good games!
Then I look back at this year and what did I play the most? Horizon, Persona 5, Zelda. All bought day 1, all played instantly and for many many hours. Even Toukiden 2 on PC, which I didnt finish, but I did play for like 25 hours. Oh and RE7 on PC, bought day 1 and played/finished imediatly.
Day 1 games you buy (well I buy) because you just gotta play them right that second right? Sale games on the other hand, It's the old "building a library" conundrum, Im buying these sale games to have them, not to play them, or to play them eventually when I feel like it... but what I realise more and more is that moment never actually happens. Looking at a 4k+ library which many of us now have also makes the whole thing redundant, nobody is ever gonna play that shit, much less an old fart like me.
Hell the silliest "day 1 vs sale" moment for me is, I bought Last Guardian earlier this year on sale... still havent touched it. I only bought it cause it was 50% off very fast after release so I was like "oh damn thats cheap I guess", and yet I played those other PS4 games that I bought day 1 imediatly.
So yeah, just wanted to rant / get it off my chest. I'm not trying to dissuade anone from buying shit on sale btw, I remember those first sales fondly, that was hella fun. And I guess back then I did play the games I bought on sale, I dunno.
Was the sticker book badge the only special badge for this sale?
Naturally. Thanks for the confirmation.and the craft summer badge

when did Silver come to Steam? wow discovery queue is useful! Bought instantly even if it was only 20% off.
That moment you find out your best fighter in Darkest Dungeon is an abusive asshole.
Grim Dawn, worth it at $12.50? How does it compare to Torchlight 2 for fun and polish?
I'd say it's much better and have more depth than Torchlight 2.
The tone is different though, Grim Dawn is more like Diablo 2 while Torchlight 2 is more cartooney.
I can squeeze that in. I was hoping it was short.
I just bought Ori and Dead Cells and think both are great. Is Hollow Knight looks amazing but I feel I will be in Metroidvania overload.

I would just say use the refund option if it doesn't run how you'd like. Hard to pass on the game if it can run decently. How accurate are the minimum system requirements for Hollow Knight? I wanna buy the game but my laptop doesn't quite meet the requirements and I'm worried the game will run poorly.
So... I'm possibly considering Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and/or Dishonored 2.
I just want to check with anyone here how the games run these days. I remember hearing a lot of issues when they released - have any here with issues stopped having those?
i didn't get the crashes but it does run pretty crapI just finished Mankind Divided and it still runs like shit. Something about the game's load screens really stressed my comp; managed to get the game running at a pretty stable 60fps with minor stuttering, but still racked up 10+ CTDs over the course of the game - always when loading a new area.
what's tales of symphonia like
i'm trying to test buy something on nuuvem and it's fairly cheap
i'm between that and kathy rain (would love thoughts on that too)
I want to buy one "big" game this sale: Prey or Nier: Automata?
Sorry to ask a question that has no doubt already been asked, but this thread has become cumbersome to navigate.
I have every sticker and have added them to the correct page (there is a tick above each one).
What happens now? Do I get anything? The FAQ is confusing.

last time i played it tho, dishonored 2 was MUCH worse
i could get 60 fps on mankind divided, even if it wasn't stable
dishonored 2 was like a real shaky 30 and that game does not play great at 30
Since nobody answered this before I'll ask again:
How does Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition play @ 4k? Does it play at high resolutions at all? BG2 EE seems to be ok @ 4k widescreen.
Having played both, I find Prey better. They even have some similar themes at play, but I found Prey executing on them more proficiently.I want to buy one "big" game this sale: Prey or Nier: Automata?
You get a badge and IIRC you can display the pages on your profile
Can't seem to find a badge that has been unlocked. I have the summer trading card badge though, but that's different right?
This is the one:
I grabbed Dead Cells earlier today and it's legit. Put in about 3 hours and didn't want to stop.Looking for some game recommendations before the end of the sale. Chasing some controller, "arcade" style games. Been playing Nex Machina, Super Meat Boy etc. Not interested in any story epic games (witcher etc.). Just picked up N++, been eyeing off Dead Cells and Hyper Light Drifter
