Any ever played or have any thoughts on Battle Brothers?

I was looking at the bundle its included in that has Halfway, Chaos Reborn, Mad Game Tycoon(own it already), Gremlins Inc., and Thea: the awakening.

Seems like a decent deal, but Battle Brothers is by far the most expensive game in it, so if it's not that good, I would just buy the other 4 games separately.

yeah bayonetta definitely is less awesome than i remembered

i mean, when it's on it's on, the combat is really satisfying and it's hilarious and super fun to watch, but it feels like everything except that is pretty rough, like the qte's that kill you in one hit, or every fight starting with an enemy attack that's timed way too tight for me to get, or how everything looks gold so it's actually really hard to tell what's happening on screen (i actually remembered this part but i attributed a lot of it to bad fps) or some times witch time just doesn't go off even if there's like the sound effect and slowdown and all the feedback that you got the dodge right? and i kind of hate that you unlock that panther form and it makes mashing r2 to dodge way harder lol, idk if that was the intent but i feel like i'm hitting like 1/3rd of the witch times i did before (which i keep calling bullet witch lol)

also it might be that i haven't played one of those in a long while but it feels like i'm getting my fingers tired of all the mashing, just mashing for torture attacks and climaxes and idk combos and shit. it's a mashy game in a good way but my fingers don't like it. kinda reminds me of dragon's dogma hehe

for all those reasons the game is just kinda tiring to play and i can't do more than a few levels at a time without feeling like i need a break

it kinda makes me wish i could get my hands on bayo 2, i bet a lot of these things would be fixed in a sequel, cos it just feels like bayo 1 in some way feels kind of a result of the time it released, just the brownyness and the bad qte and bad gimmicks, feels like shit from an age long past

sounds like you're dodging too early if you're mashing the dodge multiple times, did you buy bats within? I hate the dodge timing before buying that because I find it easier to dodge late or right when I get hit, it also helps for all those attacks they do right after cutscenes, game doesn't feel right without it

From the word of mouth it's been getting here, I would say its the best game in that bundle.

steam won't let me buy because i've made too many purchases lately

i made one purchase 24 hours ago ($20) and one purchase 2 weeks ago ($50) wow

I had that problem before and I'm not sure if it's related to adding/removing items (games) from cart. Like adding and removing games could trigger the "too many purchases" message.

Did you add and remove games on cart before proceeding to checkout?

All of that games are good games! Can you share a link of that bundle?
Edit: I found it.

You guys weren't kidding about Hollow Knight. It's amazing. I'm one hour in and so far it feels like an amazing mash up between Dark Souls and Ori. Epic bosses with tight platforming and combat.

Go get it cheaper while you still can.

So far I got:

ABZU
Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons
Metro Collection
Middle Earth
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Rocket League
Transistor

I want to get Hollow Knight, GTA V, and PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS but I can only pick one. Which one should I get?

There's much more I wanna get but my wallet can't at the moment :/
This is my first steam summer sale...

Depends on what you're looking for but since you only got Rocket League as MP game maybe go for PUBG. It's not discounted but it's amazing and get's your adrenaline pumping.

With the sale coming to end, have the stickers been the worst gimmick tied to a steam sale ever? Like, what's the point? Why should anyone bother?

*No Fun Allowed.jpeg*

Actually, I'm looking for fun things tied to the sale. At least have the feeling that we are somehow involved. We had the voting type of things several times, we also had the competition between coloured teams, getting tickets or coal that could be exchanged for in game perks or DLC, wishlist games raffle, the minigame from a couple of years ago...

I just saw, and I unceremoniously got a badge and 100XP for getting all the stickers... two days ago...

Finally pulled the trigger and picked some games up.

Orwell
Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor
The Sea Will Claim Everything

Feel like I got off easy this time around as I spent less than $10.

Started The Sea last night and it's charming as heck.

Gotta support indie devs so I ended up getting Hitman, Superhot VR, Snake Pass and spur of the moment purchase of Danganronpa. Not entirely sure what I'm getting myself into with that last one but I'm curious enough to give it a try.
I'm thinking of biting the bullet on Crusader Kings II worth it?
Absolutely, it's an amazing game. I'd recommend getting the Five Year Anniversary Edition as it has most of the essential expansions.

My final haul (I think) for this sale:

DLC
911 Operator: Special Resources DLC
AoE II HD: The African Kingdoms DLC
AoE II HD: Rise of the Rajas DLC
Grey Goo: Mini Campaign DLC
Just Cause 3: Kousava Rifle DLC
Just Cause 3: Reaper Missile Mech DLC
Remember Me: Combo Pack DLC
Sonic Racing Transformed: Ryo Hazuki DLC
The Last Federation: Lost Technologies DLC
2x Worms Ultimate Mayhem DLCs

Games
8-Bit Armies
Choice of Robots
Coffee Shop Tycoon
Drift Streets Japan
DROD
Dungeon Warfare
Executive Assault
Flatout 3 (in an attempt to get a larger discount on Flatout 4 which should have unlocked for owning all previous games in the series. It didn't, and Strategy First didn't respond to my message. Thanks, Strategy First!)
Full Throttle Remastered
Gladiator School
Highlands
Hunted: The Demon's Forge
Just Cause
Massive Chalice
Mini Metro
Pizza Connection 2
Poker Night 2
Puzzle Agent 2
Ratings War
Rock God Tycoon
SimAirport
SimplePlanes
Space Ribbon
Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds Saga
Stories: Path of Destinies
Tower Unite
Winds of Trade

So as you probably guessed, I really like tycoon / management sim / building games. If anyone has any recommendations for good games from those genres I'm missing, let me know! Besides the above I own the majority of the first 10 or so pages of Management games, besides the survival ones (not really a fan of the survival genre).

Easily one of my favorite games released in the last 5 years.

The learning curve can be steep, but YouTube is overflowing with tutorial vids, both short and long-form.

It's one of the most unique experiences Steam has to offer, combining limitless depth of grand-strategy expansionism with the personal intimacy & intrigue of family/dynasty management.

Game is one of a kind.

I held myself to one purchase this year, Halycon 6, and paid for it with cards sold after discovering steam idler. I've finally broken the Steam sale hold on my wallet. Screw you valve I'm gonna play my library!

Since I'm guessing this thread will be locked very soon, I wonder when this thread will degenerate like every other SteamGAF thread: in a barrage of digusting animu.

Selling them now might not be the smart.

Or it might, I don't know...

Don't card prices tank during Steam sales?

I don't know I can wait either way

have to because it says my laptop hasn't had steamguard enabled for 7 days

even though i've had steamguard for years?
