So I bought Might and Magic: Heroes VI Gold yesterday. This morning I wanted to try it out but when I start the game in steam it just turns on Uplay. That would not be a problem, if not for the fact that all my games are gone from the Uplay thing. I have put hundreds of hours into Anno 2070 but that is gone aswell.
What the heck Ubisoft???!!!
They're not gone. If you open up a UPlay game via Steam, only that single game will show up. Your UPlay library remains untouched and you won't be able to add Heroes VI to it either.
Well, he does have his way with words.
Thank you very much snowysashay!
Any chance The Walking Dead will be lower in price?
The thing is, that game does not open either. It just goes straight to a blank Uplay gamelibrary.
Quick question for anybody who might know: Is Civ IV: Colonization significantly different enough from base IV that it's worth picking up?
Also, is it any good -- loved the first one, especially dat music.
Civilization IV: Colonization is basically a remake of Colonization using the Civ4 engine.

I didn't realise it was $25. I just noticed it and I would have bought this for DSII + others. I even bloody bought metro2033 (sucker!).
well, THQ bundle bought. Well, I'm going to say, holy ffing shit. that was cheap.
Doesn't really tell me on my phone, but do you get to keep extra copies of games you already a have for gifting?
I know some publishers let you an some don't.
Anyone know in this case?
If you have promo credit, or someone has some to spare, you can purchase it for $13.74 from Amazon.
If I haven't played a Civilization game, is Civilization III Complete worth it? Or should I pay the difference and start with one of the newer ones?

Yeah you do, they turn into gift keys.
err for me they don't?
for fucking real?
if you buy it for yourself, it won't be added as additional gifts
i think you were thinking of, buying it as a gift, instead of buying it as "fo yourself"
if you buy it for yourself, it won't be added as additional gifts.
Err, and yeah, if you try to send it as a gif,t you send the entire collection, and not 1 by 1. So how did you get the extra games as gifts?
When I try to add the collection to my library, it tells me that the games I already have will not be given as extra copies
Thought it was pretty common for bundles to give you the additional copies in the form of gift passes.

The exact opposite is true.
bastards, only time ive done this is orange box

Even The Orange Box is rather picky, with extra gift copies being limited to Half-Life 2 and Episode One.
It would've been amazing if the giftable spare copies thing had been the standard, but it seems like Valve alone flirted with the idea and promptly dropped it. I think they'd see bundle sales go way up because people would just buy that then gift all the spares to friends.Even The Orange Box is rather picky, with extra gift copies being limited to Half-Life 2 and Episode One.
Wowzers that THQ pack is insane. Jumped on it like a sexual predator.
Edit: Didnt realize its been that price since the beginning. Nevertheless, its an insane deal.
There are several packs accross all sales that I would had picked if I could gift extra copies. I think its money publishers are leaving on the table, especially during the holidays, as the alternative is usually me waiting to pick the games Im interested in when they get cheaper. It would've been amazing if the giftable spare copies thing had been the standard, but it seems like Valve alone flirted with the idea and promptly dropped it. Best to avoid analogies like that

Uh oh, sorry about that. Thanks for the warning.
Right now I have more games than I can play in a life time I think. I think I'm gonna call it a day on this sale unless they do something crazy.
Since there is no other Steam thread at the moment, does anyone know if Epic Mickey 2 is coming to Steam?

If you want to buy Little Inferno for $10 / 7.50€, you can do it on the official website:

You will get a DRM-free build on top of a Steam key.
It is only 50 cents more expensive than on Steam for European buyers, and the same for the American.
No. Disney Interactive has thus far completely ignored Steam and there's no reason to believe this will change.
It's $7.44 on Steam for another ~7h45m.
