I got all of the endings and I don't even remember that scene/those outfits. :S
Oh, so this why people love this game.
Can never tell if you're serious or not.Oh, so this is why people love this game.
It's just a semicolon man.Well I have no defence, it's clearly a little thing and obviously anyone who writes it off over a little thing is pretty closed-minded and I'm not saying I wouldn't try it if they didn't fix it... all I can say is that I've heard good things about the game and I would hate it if a stylistic choice contributed, even in a small way, to people not trying it.

Indeed.About what kind of the noids you get?
Just looking for something to fuel my confirmation bias. Can never tell if you're serious or not.
Hopefully this gets a DRM-Free release.

It's good to hear they aren't ruling out Steam, and also that they won't let Steam negotiations delay the release.any longer than usual
Seems like the right strategy. I'm in for the initial physical release, assuming they don't saddle it with any DRM.

Yeah, it was hard as hell to get an autograph from huke anyways. It was too late to get Huke to sign it at that point wasn't it?
So mad I couldn't get into that panel.
A summary of JAST's latest updates on Twitter:
- There will be a package version and a downloadable version, plus a version with extras.
- Base price will be $39.95.
- Preorders will open around the end of August, and extras will be announced at that time.
- Steam is still being discussed, but they'll do their own release first so we can play the game ASAP.
Well, as far as I know, they do have to get approval from the Japanese companies for a Steam release. And those companies might have to be convinced by sales numbers.More like so they can sell it at a premium price first before they (try to) bring it to Steam at a reduced price.
Not that I'm complaining, it's only logical.

On one hand I want the extras package to be awesome, but on the other hand that will also make it more expensive. This is tough.. and it doesn't seem like I can wait if I wanna get it, either.
Regarding these types of things, how long can I predictably wait? Will it go up or down in price, will the same thing apply for the normal packaged version? I'm clueless about localized VN releases.

For this? It'll be dumb, but it'll probably steamroll through.Unless I'm mistaken, JAST hasn't put anything up on Steam. So it's likely they might have to go through Greenlight as well, and we all know how "great" that system is. -_-
Considering that Higurashi just made it through Greenlight, S;G would probably get through in a week.Unless I'm mistaken, JAST hasn't put anything up on Steam. So it's likely they might have to go through Greenlight as well, and we all know how "great" that system is. -_-
Preorders opened today on the JAST site.
- The release target is Winter 2013-2014.
- The Limited Edition costs $59.95 and comes with the following: Game DVD + Box with Satin Matte Finish, User Manual, Original Fanbook & Future Gadget Lab Member Badges with Display Box
- Preorder now and receive the Download Edition for free on Day One of release!
- The Download Edition costs $39.95.
- There will be no regular package edition for the first print run. The Limited Edition is the only package option.
By download edition, does that mean Steam is included? I know the publisher is looking for a Steam release, but it hasn't been confirmed yet I believe...
No Steam or GOG key?
No 3rd party download services at launch.
Disappointing. I'll still buy it though because Steins;Gate is awesome.
Just seems like a weird compromise. We were talking with them briefly about doing multi-platform for it way back. Doing just PC and dribbling it out maybe/sorta to other platforms seems like a weird choice, especially after all the work and drama at the end.
