Stellar Blade 2 Will Be A Multiplatform Release Launching on Various Consoles, Developer Confirms

guy himself is a gooner.
I had to look that one up.

"A "gooner" can be someone who engages in extended masturbation sessions, often to an intense or trance-like state. "

This will not be good without Sony xdev help. Its exclusivity or at least time exclusive with PS help the game to have excellent quality technically. Without Sony exdev as much as I love Stellar blade, multiplatform will turn into just another generic soul game that floods the market especially from China.

Now you console warriors just be saying any bullshit.

As long they can make more bangers, I don't mind at all.
More people playing Stellar Blade is aways a nice and what the gaming industry needs.

Basic bitch game
Mid tier at best
Never understood the weeb push for this one.
Play persona instead
I think it's a mix of sexy female protagonist, high fidelity graphics and focus on narrative. Sexy action games always existed but nobody cared about them because they were too videogamey and low-budget (see: Senran Kagura, Oneechanbara)

I hope sexuality is left out of it this time. It's a 7/10 game that was heavily influenced by generic butt number 10864929.

There are so many mediocre aspects to this game, such as the story and puzzles, that deserve more attention than they received. How about a male protagonist?
For me it was the empty open world, repetitive sidequests and ridiculous amount of backtracking (a fast travel system would do wonders...)

I'd just give Senran Kagura to ShiftUp. As far as I am concerned to this day SK2: Deep Crimson was the best SK game.

Would like them to improve upon those too. One desert part would have been enough but we ended up with two.

I guess it was the budget and first IP. Since the budget was low they wanted to make it seem like the game was bigger than it was by adding two big open areas. Hope the increased budget for the next one would see improvements to them.

Eve should be more badass in the next one or just have Raven that crazy bitch take over

Shift Up can't nail the aesthetic like Marvelous. Let it remain with the devs who created the IP.
I think it's over for SK Marvelous ever since the original dev left. Senran Kagura 7even has the same chance of happening as Megaman Legends 3 I'm sad to say.

Pretty sad.

For some reason I thought this was the OP, then realized it was the 2nd post.

Anyway, expected at this point. Shift Up were signaling about as much for a while now. The explosive sales on PC probably cemented the decision, and I imagine a Switch 2 version of the first game is in active development as we speak.

SIE finally wised up and recognize Nintendo as a competitor in Japan, wonder when they'll wise up and consider PC a competitor to PlayStation globally. Because whether they want to admit it or not....it kinda is.

Especially since SIE have no vested interests (PC OS with large market share, an established storefront/launcher, dominant game engine, SDK/API suite etc.) in the PC space. Acting as a dependent party on PC while trying to function as an independent platform holder on console will never work out long term.

The linked job posting only said "multiplatform game". The first game is already multiplatform.

Why would they consider PC a competitor when pc is not a console. If anything they will try and double down and see how they can make money through their own launcher. Some of you just don't get it. Sonys budgets for first party games are way higher than Nintendo. I don't see them stopping when they have said pc ports print money for them. The Shareholders have spoken. You guys don't seem to realize that the more software they sell the more games they can create.

this. the game's a generous heaping helping of 'old-school dumb fun adventure game', & gaming could benefit from more of same...

Sexy characters is the entire SHiftUp brand. ALL they games had sexy female characters. Dont expect a male protagonist unless its an harem kinda game where you collect waifus like in Nikke.

Stellar Blade 2 Will Be A Multiplatform Release Launching on Various Consoleshttps://www.neogaf.com/threads/stel...us-consoles-developer-confirms.1690492/#reply

aiming to release on various consoles and PC.

Fake news, Shift Up didn't say "various consoles", they said "Aiming for release on various platforms, including consoles and PC".

They could be refering to PlayStation consoles only too. Which could include PS5 only, PS6 only, or PS5+PS6, or PS5+PS6+PSP2.

Plus, non-exclusivity doesn't necessary mean no Sony support. For instance many Sony's China Hero project games are on Xbox.
Shift Up didn't say Stellar Blade 2 will be non-exclusive in consoles. All they said until now is perfectly compatible with to continue as Sony published or PS console exclusive.

gonna run better on Xbox too. :pie_raybans:
Actually, it'll reach new heights with the Power of Xbox(tm).
Shift Up didn't say that they will release this game on Xbox. If fact they didn't say if it will be console exclusive like the first one or not.

They didn't say if they will have Sony/XDEV as publisher or not in the sequel. They didn't say if it's going to be console exclusive or not.

Nobody said they are going to release this game on Xbox.

Does the first game get better after the demo? I ended the demo with the impression the game is all about flash and her butt, but core gameplay felt pretty mid. Not bad, just nothing good about it.

I still have it on my wishlist and it's 20% off on steam right now, but... I dunno.

Oh, so like the first game before Sony privatized it.

Shift Up said the sequel is "aiming for release on various platforms, including consoles and PC". They may mean PS consoles and PC, never said if it's console exclusive or not, and never said anything about Xbox or Switch.

>Play weeb romance dating sim with pokemon combat instead of play 3p action game with hot babe
What even is that comparison?
Hey i hate persona too but holy shit.
If you are on the weeb route might as well play persona instead of temu bayonetta.
The game fucking sucks.
Go to pornhub if you want hentai.
The game is mid REALLY MID

Yep, I just read the article. It does not confirm anything really. The safest bet would be to assume things will be the same as the 1st game. Sony + PC.
Not saying it won't be more but, this job posting is not confirmation of Xbox or Switch. Now if the first game pops up on those two platforms in the next year or so, I'd be 100% inclined to believe the sequel is coming too.

SB has been one of my favourite games this gen tbh - great combat, some cool bosses (and decent enemy design overall), great visuals, some memorable tunes and a couple of fun horror themed areas. As a first game in the series it's a fantastic effort, so I'm well up for a sequel.

I've completed it a few times, which is always a barometer of how good a game is in my book.

The fact that you can twat enemies dressed up in what is a nod to the yellow Kill Bill outfit is the icing on the cake really.

There's genuine potential for a top-tier game with the sequel.

All I hope for is the sequel pulls an Arc Raiders, and runs well on UE5.

More people getting to play the game is good.

I mean they want to spread the availability of the game obviously, but I really don't see the game doing too well on XBOX and Switch 2 for the obvious reasons and I'm not sure if it's worth the effort, but MAYBE I'll be proven wrong. I ethane my doubts, but show me that I'm wrong XBox and Nintendo guys.
