If anything a more expensive arcade mode, should spur more talk about how the resources would be better spent on multiplayer and the "players that actually matter."

That's what happened when cinematic story mode was released

What is there to envy? They still have to unlock all the stages, which some aren't even available due to it being seasonal, colors, story music, story costumes. In terms of FM the early adopters got the jump on them.
There is also that those who buy AE won't have the chance to get the 2 CPT stages, colors and costumes anymore.
Obviously those who bought s1 and s2 already have enough FM to keep earning the future stages or characters, but they also have spent more too so that's ok.

Good point about them missing the first 2 CPT stages. Plus there’s the free FM giveaways that Capcom did.
 
Great news. With Arcade mode I can finally jump back in and it's finally worth owning DLC characters I wouldn't use outside of single player.
 
I'm on PS4 , so If I delete my SFV save file
and I replay survival easy again will I net more Fight money?

The reason be, is that I spent over 3 mil of my hard earned FM on , Menat, Abel , and Akuma,
so if Capcom is giving them away for free now, I rather replay the game and re-earn all that FM for costumes or new characters.

I hope this make sense.

I would imagine that's saved to your profile so people can't game it that way. I don't know for sure, tho.
 
This is good for new players but people who bought vanilla and season passes are being ripped off. If you bought just one season pass you forget the additional characters.

Uh, why? Gold and black is very clearly a celebration thing. Even "confirmed" by Andy Wong in the Unity blog comments section.

If Arcade Mode players continually buy $4 costumes, they're the players that matter.

They're not giving them away for free, the "Arcade Edition" package will be the base game plus the S1+S2 character DLC included in one bundle, it doesn't change anything for you unless you want to get the remaining characters on the cheap by buying this package.

SFV has no need for a selectable super since every character can combo into the one they have (which wasn't the case in SFIII or IV). You could add a second super to a character moveset for more combo options however, but the ex meter bar should be reworked in that case (or have one of two super cost 2 bar of meter).

Won't work.

And Capcpom is not giving them away for free. They're only free if you buy the AE or their respective season pass.
Btw, please teach me how you bought Abel.
 
This seems awesome. I might actually go back to playing SFV. I wonder what would be cheaper though if I already own SFV, for me to buy the Arcade edition full package or both season passes?

On the other hand, I'm still incredibly salty that Dudley got passed over for Ed! Maybe I should just hold on to my cash?!
 
Okay, this is actually a pretty good deal. I'll look into buying this version of the game once Season 3's DLC characters are released. SFV would've been a massive hit if this is what we got on release day.

Tbh, I and many others were mentioning how they could improve Arcade Mode and yet people still shot it down. Glad to see that Capcom understood our complaints and came through.
 
That new UI is looking so much better. One of my biggest gripes with the original.
Did they happen to change the blocking sound effect too?!

Someone can correct me if I'm off but I think all your stats are already recorded on their end so deleting them on your PS4 won't really do anything, I don't think you can start completely over unless you make a brand new PSN account.

so the game keeps a back up of all the FM I've earned and it would unlock all my characters once it syncs?
 
For the first time, I'm genuinely considering buying into SFV (either now or in January). Well played, Capcom.

I just wish they'd put anything like this much effort into Marvel vs Capcom Infinite...
 
Do I have to have played the game to unlock the new addons? I still have my launch copy sealed and was waiting for story mode, and then never got to playing th game.
