Taking a break from SFV Beta. I really like Rashid. He was pretty fun character but I would imagine that I might play him better if I had a stick.
I'm pleased with my progress with Rainbow Mika. I just had a perfect KO with her.

I'd bet that mika could do her air grab there. He telegraphs the move a bit with his jump back. Seems quicker than adon or Seth for example, but still pretty visible.

How is the connection in the beta? Any random dragon punch or grabs during block strings and combos?

My confirm off of a jump in is c.hp>mp>special
My main poke is c.mk>lp spinny thing
Outside of that I've just been comboing off his ex kick with his spin attack. You can also get an ex attack/critical art off of his v-trigger.
Between the arc on his tornados, his easy AA and his v-trigger Rashid is so fucking fun to play as when you have your opponent cornered.

Got to play a few matches before work with Rashid and R Mika. Both feel fun, although playing reminds me just how bad I am at fighting games. I'll blame it on not getting any training before being thrown into matches, though. R Mika's normals are ridiculous though. Especially love Passion Press because the follow up after catches people off guard and it's fun to play off of.
Will probably mess around with the other characters after work, but right now Cammy, R Mika, and Rashid will probably be my three mains to start with.

Yea I know it's a stress test but I wish I could train a bit longer. I need all the training I get
Mika's normals are just ridiculous haha (I faced 4 in a row and they all gave me problems because of the normal + command grab spam). Still, I think I'm going to main Ken since he's starting to click and just got off a winning streak. :] He's really a blast to play in this and I can't wait to find some setup for his V-trigger.
Matchups are working great, netcode is GOAT, CPU dummy is working, you can play local multiplayer and new characters are really fun to play.
This 2nd Beta is fucking great! Huge success! Why are people not exclaiming how great this is

Finally got to play this morning, since Capcom is apparently scheduling downtime based on my work schedule. Got 5 matches in a half hour, so overall matchmaking is working well.
Tried out Necalli, who was alright. I agree with people complaining about his stubby normals. His V-Skill mostly just got me into trouble, I'm not sure how properly use that thing other than at max distance. I really need to learn how to pressure with him, which seems to be his bread and butter.
If any Nicalli players see this, what can you do against a Vega who keeps c.mp -> rolling crystal flashing you? There's no way that's positive on block but I couldn't figure out what I could do about it that would reach him.

But I get it. I tried Necalli for the first time with zero research, and only had enough time to figure out 2 of his specials before getting into a fight.
I've heard pausing the game can disrupt matchmaking, but who wants to press pause every 30 seconds?

Has the pc beta started? If so how is the cross play? Lag city or GOAT?
It starts in 2 more hours.
The game doesn't matchmake when you are recording an action.
Recording can last 100 seconds in SFV.
Go wild.
i wonder what was the reason behind not allowing a separate training mode in the beta

To test the netcode. The entire purpose of the beta.
Because it has local play and they only point of the beta isn't to fucking test the game it's to help them monitor issues online.

Rashid is pretty fun. His c.LP, qcf.LP is pretty good. Reminds me heavily of the crap I pulled with Fei Long on unprepared opponents.
Need to keep reminding myswlf his dive kick and Eagle Spike are super unsafe.
So far I'm liking him. Curious to see how he grows, and whether his options are decent or become frustrating later on.
Oh, and bring on Karin. Have high hopes for her to replace my Fei Long.
Edit: hmm, not feeling Rashid's defensive options at the moment. Feel like spinner is his best option when pressured and that's about it.

Me too, I need to step my game up and learn wtf I have to do against that style.
I was thinking of that or neutral jumping but it looks like Rashid can anti air with that move.
