Failed to receive data from common*1?

That's what I'm seeing now after a fight. And it seems I'm gaining exp but not fight money.

Go back to the Main Menu and you might have some. I've been getting the same message and it shows that I have FM.

LP are working now too.

Rashid seems super fun so far, I figured out you can link s.mp to c.mk for easy hit confirms. Does anyone have any tips for confirming into super outside of the corner or any good v trigger set ups?

Cancel the first hit of qcf+lp into Super. Tricky to do.

As for his VT, there are many, MANY utilities for it. His VT alters the momentum of every move that moves Rashid forward, it also makes them safer too.

qcf+lp travels further, bigger hitbox, safer and it closes distance extremely quick.

st.f+HP nets you a full screen overhead, if they eat it then get hit by the VT you can do qcf+hp for more damage.

Jumping or using his V.Skill will put Rashid on the other side of the opponent.

Using his d+V.Skill will move him full screen.

Want a full screen crush counter? st.hk

You can also abuse qcb+k(any kick) until the VT runs out. The VT will move Rashid back so you can do it multiple times.

Is there a way to set the guard recover action to crouch? Or pick what attack you want to have it block? Right now I can only make the dummy do something after blocking a hard punch.

LoL,Rashid's AA attacks are so bunk VS Vega. Out Air thrown out of HP QCF, every other one beat by well-placed claws... it's a bit of a pain.

I like him so far, but no where near the love of Mika for me. He seems more gimmicky than solid, at first blush. Once people learn how to punish his semi-safeness, where does he go from there? hmm. He has a lot of nice pressure tricks, and gaps that lead to you getting hit, but I don't just trust them being reliable strat yet. He just has so much unsafe stuff that'll eventually get punished by saving meter for those specific points.

Of course, this can all change, but just how I feel ATM. I do think he has some great normals here and there.

Just a little more to KaaaaaRIIIINNN. Everyones been fun so far.

Awesome, thanks for the tips. I didn't realize VT would affect his st.hk! I've been having good luck just going for the VS cross up after activating VT, but that won't last once people have experience with him. Definitely seems like there's a lot going on with him.

His uppercut has no invincibility.

Not too surprised there, just hoped hitboxes might beat some things. Not at all, haha.

And good info about his V.trigger up there! Glad to see it also modifies his normals, that's quite useful information.

I'll say this. If the plan for this game was to reduce the use of jabs, they're failing miserably.

Yea, there is crouching jabs everything still, haha.

Maybe I am going crazy. But the ways hits feel when they connect feels different than the first beta build. Its like less solid or something. It's probably just the damn netcode with the teleporting and stuttering that is sticking in my mind.

Gone back to Vega, too stylish not to use. Definitely my main come retail.

I probably would do the same if I found out reliable anti-airs with him. qcb + HP is not doing anything for me. I wish ther was some kind of scarlet-terror thing, even as a reversal only + EX kind of move. Then again, I suck :p

Ugh, yeah qcb hp range is too short for a good anti air. HK can work sometines... ish lol

New build, new characters, shaky connections. It's odd that pretty much every match I've had has been abysmal connection wise since I had so many good ones in the first beta phase.

So you get 50 or 60 FM per match you win and like 5 or 6 per lose?

I'm at like 350 or something and stopped playing

It's 50 for a win and 10 when you lose... I think a character will be at 5000 or 10000...

Try Rashid a little, don't really like the feeling.... Stay with Ken until Karin be here!!

100/200 wins or 500/1000 losses for a character? I would love that but I think that's being too conservative.

Only one class today and then I'll finally be able to jump in. if it was giving me the memory error do I need to delete and re-download the beta?

They're gonna give us free fight money this beta for those of us who suck to try out Karin right? Not really looking to lose 50 games in a row and not from a lack of trying mind you.

Ok that's good. Wasn't sure if they were gonna put her on fight money to practice their unlock system for characters. Though that would be the same as anything else I think.

Are the unlocked Beta titles going to carry over to the final game?
