How are there two people ranked at 166? Is this cross-play in action?
Also, that Ryu didn't seem to react very well when he had plenty of punish opportunities. He would sweep every time.
edit: heh, I guess that was you. At the very least, use crouching forward (mk) into fireball or hurricane kick as a punish. Is his standing fierce too slow, or lacking in range to hit blocked reversals too?
My EU game unlocks tonight at midnight.

I was having massive struggles with getting a simple DP. I'll put it down to being rusty/scrub.
I was just sweeping just to show how dumbo Cammy was playing.
And I was baiting a rage message.
edit: couldnt even punish knuckles, so went with tried and tested method.
PM me for tips of learning not to throw out fireballs, knowing to blocks, baiting supers and winning through grit and determination.

I swear I'm the only asshole on GAF playing SF with one of these:
I can't see myself ever using a bat-shaped stick ever again. Back when I used to play in the arcades, that's the only thing they had. Never saw any cabinets with a ball-shaped stick for Street Fighter. Same with Mortal Kombat.
I'm more comfortable holding the ball-top stick with only my thumb and index finger now, instead of placing it between my ring and pinky finger.
Several people can have the same amount of points and thus, the same rank. And I don't think it's stressing the leaderboard database too much considering some of the jumps in ranking I got in the beta.
Capcom's best yet, not ggpo status but it's close and hopefully it will get better.

As a very casual fighting game player, I have to say this: I have a deep respect for you guys customizing arcade controllers. You're awesome.

I didn't realize that even with the same amount of points that someone could be the same "rank". It makes sense, but did that happen in SF4?
I figured it was hyperbole, when some were saying "It's just as good as ggpo, possibly better"...
Still, anything has to be better than the trash tier that was SF4's netcode.
If you think SF4 is bottom of the barrel netcode you must not play many fighting games.
I'm not saying it's perfect or even close, but there are games which are a lot worse.

This is how it should be. The salt will flow come 12AM.
They won't be wrong when they say SFV is lacking feature-wise. Gamers will just have to decide for themselves whether or not those issues are deal breakers.
Here's a really basic collection of the V-Triggers. Just click on any of them for a general description of what they do. For more specific info on the numbers and stuff I'm not really sure.

Post just came. No SFV. GAME if you're gonna tell me that the game will be here 1-2 days of dispatching (dispatch Thursday) then damn well mean it. If it isn't here by tomorrow then I'm gonna be sad.
Also, any UK or EU players want to swap preorder costumes? I've got a Ryu but would much prefer a Cammy.

I was pretty good at Street Fighter II back in the day, but then I lost interested in fighting games. I tried to come back with SFIV, but it was too much for me. The promise of a more accessible SFV brought me back, I hope my notebook can handle it.
Game quite often get deliveries delayed to come on release day on pre-orders, so it should be tomorrow at least.
I've set it to a connection quality of 4-5 and it has been great so far.
