Game quite often get deliveries delayed to come on release day on pre-orders, so it should be tomorrow at least.

If I wanted to get it on release day I would've kept my day one delivery on Amazon. It's okay though. If the game came today I would've been too tempted to just play it and then watch all my progress get deleted afterwards.

Been playing the game for a few days and it's hilarious how on point the thread title is. I thought Vanilla SFIV was barebones at launch, but this game takes it to a new level.

It's a good thing the online options are comparatively solid but it means you'll run out of things to do fast if you're not comfortable learning how to play as you fight.

If you think SF4 is bottom of the barrel netcode you must not play many fighting games.

I'm not saying it's perfect or even close, but there are games which are a lot worse.

Considering I've been playing "fighting games" since '91, you'd be wrong. Online though? No, I really don't bother much anymore. The few fighting games with solid netcode I don't really care about. And just because MK and a few other select fighting games have worse netcode doesn't somehow improve what SF4 had. The netcode isn't the only issue though, and that's why so many of the ranked matches from Japan (online) look so smooth.

Found countless moves lists with button mappings but no actual info on their effects.

Yeah, it kinda works out with this game with the reset they're doing!

For future games, unless Game have exclusive shizz you just have to have, www.simplygames.com and www.thegamecollection.net are seriously good for price and early delivery. Quite often see Tuesday releases land Friday/Saturday.

Regular Saturn pad or a PS2 one? You can with the Brook PS2 to PS4 adapter if you're lucky enough to have a PS2 Saturn pad lying around.

When it comes to characters, I'm planning to main Charlie Nash, but I have my eyes on Ken, Karin and Fang as well. But seeing that I'm new to Street Fighter, I'll probably experiment with Ryu the first couple weeks to get a grip on all the mechanics and details.

I have a friend who got the game early and this was one of the questions I asked! He confirmed that you can change the stage within training mode.
