The st. MP left him positive and gave more than enough time for the parry to activate.
Juri's V-reversal just sucks. It has the least amount of I-frame. With other characters you need to use S.HK which has enough start up frames to counter any V-Reversal that strikes in it's recovery.
Meanwhile with Juri, a -4 on block overhead can punish the V-reversal.

If it's -4 on block, why wouldn't you punish with an actual move? Depending on stock, you' could get c.lk, s.lp into whatever, or at least a pinwheel.
Vreversal isn't meant to punish things on block, it's meant to interrupt pressure.
Juri was scheduled for August but we got her in July. I see no reason to believe Urien will not be out at the end of the month until told otherwise. Both Balrog and Juri were early.
That's not the point I'm making. It's her reversal having less I-frame than any of the other characters. And even then it's not good dealing with pressure because Ibuki and Juri herself have moves that goes over it.

I guess I just have a different mentality. You see a problem, I see character uniqueness and necessity to learn in which circumstances you would want to use what is essentially a get off me move. I don't have any issues with v-reversals being unique across the cast.
I hardly call them unique when most of them just cause a knockdown or push them away. The only one who is unique is Cammy and maybe Zangief which gives him a mix up.

And they are very deliberate in the way they give you a mix up opportunity (or don't, respectively) afterwards.

Been trying to learn Balrog lately. The raw impact of his moves makes him feel so good to play, I just gotta up my defense and get better at charge inputs to fully feel comfortable with him.

Ditto for Guile. I see a Sim, FANG or Birdie once in a blue moon, but Guile is gone. People who say the DLC characters should be invisible on character select unless you've bought them are wrong. It would be easy to assume Guile isn't even in the game if he were removed from character select.haven't seen one in a month too.

I like this picture a lot.
Too many fighting games developpers underestimate the impact of those visuals and sound effects in the "feel good" department, that's really sad.
I think Skullgirls is the worst with this. The sound effects leave a lot to be desired imo.
