What's up with Cammy players thinking Cammy is terrible? What does she really need?

I need some tips against Rashid, the fucker is difficult to punish.

When he uses his tornado, is that safe on block or not ? Usually they make a block string on that and continue with standing mk I think.

Then it becomes a guessing game about when he is going to attack. Every time I try to attack I either lose or it trades. I am at a loss against this character and I need some tips.

Thanks, but I find it weird that I was pressing cr.lp to get out and I would usually lose from his kick.

EDIUT: Fought the same Rashid as before. Tried b+mp, got grabbed. Tried b+hp, lost. Managed to punish it only once.

EDIT2: His tornado EX is completely invincible ?

Feel like I'm hitting a dead end in this game with how to deal with dash-ins. If I try to react I get counter hit, if I try to guess I get destroyed

Yeah EX tornado is invincible

Guess more safely/at better times. It's something you refine in a game like this

Not only is tornado -2, but a ton of his other moves are as well. I mean I've never checked the frame data, but I'm pretty sure that tornado, f+mp, s.hk, cr.hp are all -2. These are all very frequent used moves by Rashid players. I think he might have a couple more as well.

Can't we just leave the poor Rashid alone Rashid is at disadvantage in all the match ups probably except Zangief (who i feel sorry for whoever play him lol).

I can only think of Gief, Dictator and dhalsim those are the only ones at disadvantage against Rashid.

Even if this were true, the only characters that are at a disadvantage against Mika are Bison, Vega, Balrog and Dhalsim. It's not like that matters in the grand scheme of things.

Rashid is a very capable character.

So I was playing with my friend last night, who I usually play in the arcade with. We messed around in the battle lounge. He picked guile and I picked juri. We were just having casual fun over skype but at around 2:30 he KO's me but still manages to super me after that. I thought they got rid of being able to execute actions after KO, or is Guile just weird? Because this is not the first time I've seen bugs with him.

He didn't execute the action after the KO. He input the super cancel before the sonic boom even hit you, which is why the super still came out.

That was a hella good series of matches, especially since I started out knowing almost nothing about Urien. I still kinda don't lol but at least I know more now. I just need to properly punish EX headbutt and figure out what to do against his charge moves. And what to do in neutral.

GGs, your Juri is mean. EX headbutt is unsafe when blocked, so do anything you want. Juri seems safe on everything when she EXes.

I learned a lot about Urien's neutral in those sets. You didn't seem to be enjoying it when I started using his toe kick to poke at you.

Indeed, but I didn't crush counter it at all. Maybe once, i definitely could have gotten more damage on the table. When the ex headbutts hit though you got so much off of them it did a lot of mental damage to me in the first sets. Damage extender, positioning, easy setup for v-trigger if you had it...

i basically didn't pressure early on because of that.

Yeah her EX is safe (but not plus) for all of her moves except for DP obviously.
I learned a lot about Urien's neutral in those sets. You didn't seem to be enjoying it when I started using his toe kick to poke at you.

Yeah his medium kicks are troublesome for Juri to deal with. Liberal use of them made it difficult to use st. hk which I usually go to as a trusty button.

Neutral got a bit easier over time when I remembered something I saw on Smug's stream when he was labbing Urien, namely that lows that reach far can beat some of Urien's standard buttons. That's why I started using Cr. mk and cr. hk more. Sometimes it worked. Also I saw you using back hk so I started doing the same thing lol.

His cr. hp is a nasty anti-air from forward angles.

On top of the mental edge I gain from being nude, it was dire straits indeed.

It's only decent against a jump-in that I can see coming, I often cross myself up if I use it incorrectly. Forward jump-ins are better dealt with by fMP or HK. Urien's AA is very weak, if you can fluster me with unpredictable air offense, I'm done for.

That was the first set of games where I was able to do Aegis combos. Thanks.

Went to play SFV on my PS4 today after not having played it since the middle of August, and the game wouldn't let me proceed past the 'about missions' notification. Did anyone else have this issue? The only similar reports I could find were on the Steam forums related to the PC issue.

I ended up deleting the game and am now redownloading it, so hopefully that fixes whatever the issue was

Restart the game it worked with me before when i had the same problem.

Man guile maybe my most hated character after ryu. Dude can just turtle all day and I have to waste meter trying to time his sonic booms correctly for my elbow tackle EX.
I swear, the nude buff is real. I can feel myself doing worse when I have the suit on.

Apparently I need to relearn how to punish Cammy's blocked DPs lol, she always ends up too far for me to punish with a CC combo so I guess I gotta dash up on reaction and punish accordingly. These Cammies really love pressing them buttons though.

Weird, I was just playing Cammy and doing hard reads.

I play Nash so my go to CC combo is fierce into light/EX moonsault and whatever else I feel like doing. When I block Cammy's DP I'm too far for my fierce to land, so I guess I either need to walk up or dash to get there, will practice later on training mode, it's just that I don't remember having problems punishing it before.

A Guile that's genuinely good at zoning is an absolute nightmare for Birdie too.
Guile is an absolute problem for some characters because his vskill creates a hitbox right in front of him. So jump ins are riskier. And if you have no gap closers or projectiles, you get screwed.
