Been playing this character for so long and I'm still learning things.

Learned from Producer (thanks again) that a well-spaced lp can combo into mp.

Learned from Dieminion in that Red Bull Proving Grounds grand final that a f+j.hp when done in a neutral jump actually moves you forward so you can even neutral jump the slow fireballs too.

Now I just need to do more cheap stuff and use setups and stop playing so damn honest.

Just played a bunch of great games against a 20k lp Juri. Was playing late at night so I just kept getting him in ranked over and over. Feel bad for him though since I ended up taking 500 lp from him alone even though we were pretty even in wins/losses. Maintaining your points that high up seems like a struggle.

Maybe this is also related to why matchmaking takes forever since this patch. It rarely took more than a minute before 1.11 to find a match.

Just loading the main menu takes forever with this new patch. I might as well be going back to training mode after matches, it'll take about the same amount of time.

And I have no fucking clue what my rank is.

But it isn't right, is my point. My rank said it was 7200, I got matched to someone, but our connection dropped. Now I'm at 7270 LP.

I'm saying its erroring so much and updating so slow that the displayed rank is never what it actually is. It's always playing catchup.

Looks like there are some issues right now, many people can't login into online including me, i've also read that some people are still waiting for ranked game points from yesterday. Maybe you can play casual or battle lounges until they fix this.

Not to count my chickens before they hatch, but I'm so close to breaking into platinum rank, and I'd hate for these server issues to rob me of my 'daaaa naaaaa nuuuuu neeeee nuuuuu naaaaaaaa' fanfare that I deserve.

So, question for everyone. I like characters that play mid-range, have a reversal, have a good AA, and have safe specials for chip damage. I currently use Necalli. Is this the best choice?

Second, I'll be adding everyone whose posted his/her tag on here to PSN for some games (I'm also planning to double-dip with USF4). My tag is stnhdr, please add me if you want! I'm down to play with any region.

Granted, her AAs aren't as good as Necalli's but she has safer specials and better footsies.

So if you need a win, you know what to play.
And if you want to learn/relax, you know what to play.

Or just play whatever you want man.

Either Chun with St.lk that beats every jump in and St.hp and F.mp being her best pokes.

Or Urien who's footsie are one of the longest and be hit confirm into Aegis Reflector. He also has Cr.hp and F.mp as an AA with double knee being safe on block.

Urien's anti airs really aren't that great. They're decent but certainly nothing that stands out.

Though I think you're onto something with Chun. With the exception of the safe specials thing, she definitely dominates the midrange and fills all the other categories.

Knocked out my 10 ranked wins but made a net gain of 0 LP. :/

Is it normal to lose 90 points to someone ~400 LP below you just because they're Silver and you're Super Silver?

I'm just glad all the wins counted among all the server errors.

Being at Ultra is the worst because beating the people 1 league above you gives you only 60 but losing to people One league below you takes 80ish from you it's always like that i guess they are trying to make sure you deserve going to the next league.

I had a 4-game win streak & was almost at Super Silver before I left for work, then some random Karin came in & kicked my shit in............twice (I got matched with him/her twice in a row).

anyway, i'm glad it's supposed to be that way and i didn't get cheated. though it does make it a lot clearer that there will be a struggle to reach escape velocity into gold league.

Actually, the same thing happens at Ultra Gold. And if you're at 6,500 LP, you lose a lot of points to Super Gold and you also get to play against up to 9,999 LP players, which is quite the range.

Sounds fun. I probably won't be anywhere near that good for at least another 8 months and by then they may have just patched Ken out of the game entirely due to popular demand.

I guess I'll just keep on the Nash and pull the Urien out to practice then.

I feel like when I start focusing on wining and not improving I stop having fun in fighting games. Should really take my own (actually, James Chen's) advice

Sweet, netted myself a cool 10,500Fm. The online challenge was tough mostly due to lag but when the fights are good they are really good even when I lose. Practicing with Urien but after countless losses I always run back to Bison's embrace for revenge, lol.

Anyway managed to win a few fights with Urien
