If you want to just win online , just spam the Block->Jump back throw OS. Nobody is gonna punish that online srsly lmao. You see Yukadon do this ALOT too.
It doubles down to beat people who jump on your wakeup to bait throws too lol.

Nah its not the salt , they seem weak on paper , but Capcom added Counter hit state on their recovery for a reason. Momentum shift is just too huge in this game. And finally getting your turn only to have it stolen again is just disheartning. It fucks with your head.

Is anyone experiencing slowdown on the PC Version if you use two controllers and x360ce?
I normally use my Madcatz TE2 ( Downloaded the Xbox driver from MAdcatz). But when I played the game with my friend ( He has a Hori stick so i had to use X360CE ). There were random slowdowns in VS mode ( maybe like once or twice per round ) , it was super frustrating. Has this happened to anyone? I never get this when I play solo or online so i cant think of anything else causing it.
Also has Capcom still not added any control settings on the PC Version? Goddamn. I feel like there is going to be a thread in the Gaming section about this for next week haha.

James Chen said something during EVO I was thinking about doing and something I should have been doing all along. I'm going to stop playing to win and focus more on experimenting during matches.
Goddamn nothing makes me feel more helpless than a Laura who is in my face just constantly doing her normals/blockstrings on you on knockdown; I'm sure not all of it is safe but I feel like every time I hit a button or try to counter it gets stuffed or I can't get anything off it :/. Really need to figure out with her and Mika specifically what is safe for them and what isn't.

it's a pretty late hit after the MK stomp. So just wait a second then hit MP after teh stomp.
disc is a charge move, so you need to be holding down and back. that one can be done right away after the MP comes out as long as you have built up the charge enough. That attack doesn't require a lot of charge I've found

Completed story mode. Cool scenes but it was pretty bad, lol. I also think FANG is an awful character, he manages to make Rufus and El Fuerte look dark and serious. He'd be good in a Jojo game, not here.
Luckily I play fighting games for the multiplayer and training mode, so story is always an afterthought for me. But the story mode was still, to be blunt, shit.

The first few matches were better. Not too much rollback.
Those last ones were worse. You could hear the hit and it would show something different in the screen. Guess my connection got unstable on those last few rounds.
Also, I tested Ibuki today. She's fun, but complicated to use. I will try to learn something with her and see if I can adapt.

I'm pretty sure nothing was good about story mode. It's a really poor attempt to copy the NRS games.
At least I got some FM for suffering through it... but still... I don't think it was enough to justify my time spent.

Story mode was a pretty poor imitation of NRS's efforts, but still miles ahead of previous efforts, so... At least they're trying?
I'd love to see additional stories to accompany further seasons of content, but we know that's not going to happen. Or if it did, they'd charge $45 for the DLC and tell us what a value it is.

Its not the look of the character, its the character's attitude. All three of Guile, Rose, and Juri are non-comedic characters. Juri especially. I would have liked FANG if he had the same aesthetic design but without the goofy voice and movement.
I don't like playing FANG (and I don't understand why his name is an acronym. Was that addressed in his story mode that I skipped through?), but his wackiness doesn't bother me at all. He's not really any more of a joke character than Dan, though I grant his design is more outlandish and he's positioned more prominently in the story.
Rufus and a good chunk of the 3S cast bug me more than FANG.

I'd take the SSF4 arcade mode with the "rival battles" and such over the story mode they threw in for this. There's a lot of things about SSF4 I'd take over SFV.

Apart from Juri, F.A.N.G. is better than every new character since Makoto. He fits just fine, he doesn't feel like he's missing "something." He's definitely a complete character with identity.

Since switching to Alex on PC, I've been struggling in the super/ultra silver range for a while now. I just decided to switch back to Necalli for a bit and shot back to gold within minutes. Alex really is trash.

Agreed. The best thing about story mode is that it gave us the Urien/baby Gill mod for the Ken/Mel segment though.
I am a former Sim main and I had to give it 2 or 3 tries. It's survival mode levels of BS indeed.

Alex is for battle lounge and casuals with friends. Trying to compete with him is a waste of time in this game if you already have an A tier or S tier main. I can't remember if it was SFV that had this problem or another game I played but people were getting frame drops from having a drawing tablet hooked up to their PC while playing.
