Who's V-Trigger is going to be a focus attack?
Whichever SF4 character makes it inWho's V-Trigger is going to be a focus attack?

Viper's flame/lightning attacks would look sooooo good in this engine *_*

Going by Omega, most likely Sakura
Why are some articles saying that the guard meter is "new to the series"?
She's still such a KoF character though. If she makes it in, they need to redo her KO scream. Most obnoxious sound effect in SF4.

What guard meter? All I seen is a stun meter ala 3s.

Dan.

Yo fuck custom combos by the way. The v trigger system seems like a perfect chance to sneak them in but they have been dumb in every game they ever been in.
Considering Hakan gains mobility and range during his focus attack when oiled(along with other things), they could easily wrap his mechanics within the V system. We won't see him though, will we?
Viper can stay dead forever.I hope Viper and Juri make it in this game. If any characters deserve to live on after SF4, it's those two.

I like both of these characters wise, but Viper and her burn kicks, yeah, she can go away forever with that tbh...I hope vortex in general is kinda gone and you always have to outwit your opponent with mix-up.I hope Viper and Juri make it in this game. If any characters deserve to live on after SF4, it's those two.
besides the fact she gets to spam them? What's so terrible about her burn kicks?
They can just fix all of this if they bring her back, or do you think that she isn't much if that were to fix the issue?. I thought she was a cool concept for a character in the SF universe, though I never played with her much at all.besides the fact she gets to spam them?
- The flame is so broad, you can't tell where she is landing at times, even when you are accurately reading your opponent's mix-ups.
- recovery and damage on them, especially before they got nerfed was ridiculous.
- brain-dead mix-up makes opponents of equal skill level weaker because there defense suffer.
I can go on if you'd like?

yea just avoid the headache and dont bring her back.Sounds like you're mainly talking about the airborne one. The grounded version is hated so much because they can be mashed and used as a reversal to beat low attacks. Unlike a DP it's safe on block so your pretty much where you were before having to guess whether she will continue doing reversals. Sure you can OS it, but the meager punishes you get won't stop her from continuing to do it. That's the other reason why people hate burn kick so much.
If she does come back though I doubt shell will be able to use these moves the same way. The different wake up times will probably also prevent her from looking it over and over if she kept guessing correctly. Still I'm too bitter about the current version of her that I wouldn't want her back
I think people got frustrated seeing SFIV become more and more about mixups and 50/50's than zoning and space control. Viper was one of the biggest culprits, although she was used a lot less when they nerfed EX Seismo. It used to be completely invincible and the biggest Viper player was notorious for doing nothing but EX Seismo on wakeup because it was safe on block and completely invincible, so he never had to deal with wakeup pressure. They made the move vulnerable to throws in AE and Viper players became less successful.I wasn't aware of her being such an issue to that extent. Does she place high in tournaments as of late (or ever)? Shenanigan characters usually cause a scene.

Also new to the series is a guard break system. Now, when you are on the defensive, you have two options. You can retreat to the corner and probably die… or you can block. Street Fighter V puts a timer on how long you can defend yourself from your opponent's attack before being forced to strike back.
As you take attacks while blocking, the Guard Break meter will slowly deplete. If it fully depletes, then the player will be temporarily stunned, giving your opponent a serious advantage.
What characters have been confirmed so far?
Best win animation right there. ;-)
I agree. I couldn't care less about the other new characters from that series as they really aren't that interesting (except for Gouken, though he's another shoto).
Like I said in another thread, if Capcom's going to bring in new characters, they need to make fighters from places that they haven't tried from yet, such as Egypt, Canada, & Australia. It's great that we got a fighter from Turkey, & a fighter from South Korea, but they need to expand more on that front. Even Namco had done that with Tekken as of lately.
Counting the characters from SF 1 to SF IV (excluding the EX series because it isn't canon), we already have
14 characters from USA (Alex, Crimson Viper, Cody, Guile, Guy, Joe, Ken, M. Bison/Balrog (Boxer), Mike, Nash/Charlie, Poison, Rolento, Rufus, & Sodom),
13 from Japan (E. Honda, Geki, Gouken, Gouki/Akuma, Ibuki, Karin, Maki, Makoto, Oro, R. Mika, Retsu, Ryu, & Sakura),
4 from England (Birdie, Cammy, Dudley, & Eagle),
4 from Hong Kong (Dan, Fei Long, Yang, & Yun),
3 from Germany (Hugo, Juli, & Juni),
3 from China (Chun-Li, Gen, & Lee),
2 from France (Abel, & Remy),
2 from Thailand (Adon, & Sagat),
2 from Mexico (El Fuerte, & T. Hawk),
2 from Russia (Necro, & Zangief),
2 from Brazil (Blanka, & Sean),
1 from Jamaica (Dee Jay),
1 from India (Dhalsim),
1 from Kenya (Elena),
1 from Turkey (Hakan),
1 from South Korea (Juri),
1 from Spain (Balrog/Vega (Claw)), &
1 from Italy (Rose).
Dan is Japanese and is from Japan, the Hong Kong was only for an Alpha 2 stage.
With your logic Birdie is from Italy because his Alpha 1 stage was Rome.
The thing is that BOTH players get ultra, though.
If your HP is in the range of being depleted from eating an ultra, that probably means that YOU already have an ultra stocked, too. And, if you have SO much life that you don't have an ultra, then if you get hit by one you'll definitely have an ultra when it's done, and now your opponent is in trouble.
It's not really a "reward for losing" as much as it's an extra tool BOTH players get later in the round.
That's sort of what Chun's is
We don't have to use that clip to indict Viper. That was so depressing because it was right after Daigo defeated Infiltration 10-0 in a FT10. Everybody was like "mah boy, he can't be stopped". Then got Viper'd. I remember reading some tweets or something about how their were Daigo fans in the audience who were in shock. They just stood still and had this look of disbelief in their face. I was pretty sad to to be honest
I don't want sf2 characters. I liked what they did with sf3. They kept the iconic characters and replaced the rest. If it weren't for sf3 people wouldn't be asking for q, makoto, Sean, etc. They need to do another refresh after sfiv.
I'm in the same boat. Too bad they already stated there will only be 4 new characters. [Citation Needed]Yep, I've had enough of the OG 16. SFV doesn't need to be inundated with that shit.

That was Kyabetsu, one-time SBO SF4 winner. He has Daigo's number for some reason. He might body some big name then get unceremoniously random-ed later haha.
Sure, whatever. Don't care enough to argue any further.
