I'm on a level called 'Blindside' and I've gotten to an area that just seems there is nowhere to go to advance. there is an elevator like shaft that I can't summon down yet, and i can't really describe everything else for the lack of any real identifiable landmarks.

can anyone help? i don't see any a/c vents to shoot out, there just simply is nowhere to go. other than maybe the elevevator shaft, but the light on it is red and it won't come down for me.

Could you describe what happened before this? The environments all sorta run together, so you'll have to note some sort of major event.

Check the inside of the elevator shaft for a platform jutting out around the inside. Usually you can go around it and get to the maintenance ladders.

found it... there was a power switch on a wall in an adjacent room that powered up the elevator shaft. you had to swim to the next room over, then go up a ladder, then on the back wall there was a small switch that did the trick.

Took me a few minutes to find that

Are you done? 'Cause it is about to get real challenging if you are playing on one of the harder difficulty settings. At least it did for me at that point.
