When you count with your hands do you start with your index finger and end with the thumb? Or do you start with your thumb and end with the pinky? I start counting with my thumb. Thought that might be wierd.

I start with the thumb and follow through to the pinky. Though if I intend to indicate "two," it's index and and middle, thumb not entering into it at all. Pretty sure we're on the right side of this though.

Can anyone help me identify this flag? My neighbor who is a very odd guy set up some sort of an Encampment across the street from my house and he was waving the flag proudly. He was clearly seeking attention but I avoided him but I do want to know what he's up to.

The symbol is very similar to this symbol. Both Gideons and Bapists seem to use it.

Edit: Actually, it's exactly that symbol. The curve of the flag turned the red object into a ball. Now I see that it's a flame.

So I plugged in my 360 controller to my PC and it inexplicably switched to player 2 so games aren't responding. How do I switch it back to player 1?

Did you unplug it and plug it in again? Maybe restart your PC while keeping it plugged in if that doesn't work. There isn't really any way to do it through software on PC afaik.

How the hell do you beat the Asylum Demon in Dark Souls?

Get behind him where he can't so as much damage. Be aware of when he's about to do the floating in the air and slam down move and get the hell out of there. 2 hand your weapon for max damahe, or use pyromancy.

If an astronaut killed another astronaut on the moon, would any country have jurisdiction to prosecute?

Yes, the country of the killer and killed. Murder is still illegal, doesn't matter where you do it.

What if the person in question was a clone born on a Moon base?

Wait. I meant the victim. But let's say both the killer and the victim are.

No. URLs to banned sites will have the domain name replaced with ********. As you said, Torrentfreak is a news site.

Was looking forward to go out to a pub tonight.
Suddenly thunder was heard and rain started pouring down.
I have about an hour or so to make up my mind (7.20pm right now, bus leaves every XX.27)
This is the sky right now
Should I stay or should I go?

I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to properly organising my first home theater, and Google is surprisingly unhelpful, so bare with me.

I have a receiver with only 2 HDMI inputs but 6 devices that I'd like to use my 7.1 system with. If I bought 2 3-in-1 HDMI switches and plugged everything into those, would the audio for an active device still work as it would if I had it plugged straight into the receiver, or would the switches reduce the channels/quality/etc? Seems a bit too simple and too good to be true. Thanks!

How does MEGA exist? I mean it's basically Megaupload in all but name, I thought the guy who made it had his stuff raided but MEGA is apparently offering 50GB free online storage?

Got an electricity/laptop charger question. So i moved recently and accidentally left my laptop charger behind. I bought a new one off amazon that ended up being 3rd party having slightly different amp and wattage values. Voltage is the same exactly.

Laptop - Input 19v. 3.16a 60w
Adapter - Input 100v 240v 2.4a 50 -60 Hz
Output 19v, 4.74a

Wattage isn't written directly on the adapter but the amazon listing say 65w-90w

Should this be OK?

Why does my post always say I post 2 hours prior to when I actually post? I'm in Toronto Canada

Edit:I posted at 12:07 originally but it said I posted at 10:07 at the time

You know that phenomenon when you buy something like a car, you tend to see that thing everywhere? Is there a name for that?

Also do you know that feeling when it gets cold and your testicles shrink to move closer to the body, is there a scientific name for that?

There are two main differences from Megaupload that enable this
1 - Kim says New Zealand Jurisdiction provides an more amicable legal climate
2 - Client-size file encryption makes it impossible for MEGA to view users' content. This has served (so far!) to be enough to shirk any responsibility.

My question:

In cardiovascular, muscular, aerobic, and any other systems, how do HIIT and Continuous Endurance (steady state) workouts compare?

From what I've read so far, it seems like HIIT is just all around more effective. Does steady state have any advantage?

I'm currently reading "12 Years a Slave" and the book is currently in the 1850's time period.

The main character talks about being dragged into "cars". I know for a fact that cars weren't all that common until 1900s-1920s, but I didn't know that such average folks would have owned cars in 1853. Do you guys think "car" its referring to actual cars (as we know it today)? Or would it have been a horse carriage or a train or something else?

edit: oh now I really feel stupid! I know it's definitely not a car car, since those would have been pretty damn useful during the civil war. Still curious to know if he's referring to a horse carriage or a train though.

Sounds like selective retention. Once you buy something seeing it again gives more of an emotional response so so you brain remembers those moments more and it seems like you're seeing it more often. It also makes it easier and quicker to spot it when you've become very familiar with how it looks.

Builds endurance
