So how does the 'seasons' story stuff work? You finish the base story and new content shows up like expansions?

Holy shit this game is trash. I couldn't even finish the tutorial where you learn how each character plays. The combat is horrible along the the traversal. The gfx is shit also. Sunset overdrive which is like a launch o.g. Xbox one game looks and plays better than this.

Does the digital deluxe edition include all the new season story stuff too?

The seasons and characters are free content, the digital deluxe edition only has a token for a season pass of your choice and a few outfits, that's it.
Also there's no season story stuff, they had an elaborate plan, but canceled it all to finish it within 4 seasons instead of 8, so shit just randomly happens without any explanation; deathstroke doesn't even have a join the squad cutscene like the others.
There's one more episode coming and they will probably just have the rest of the JL be alive magically.
