SALT INCOMING SIR.

"Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation."
- Sue Kroll, President Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures

They'll take it down.

I love how Marvel has GOTG with fun jokes and cool characters... and DC has Joker swagging down a corridor like he's Prince all out of fucks to give.
Exactly. Between, DC, Marvel Studios, & Fox, comic book nerds like us have a lot to look forward to.

Makes sense if they all are since they aren't petty criminals...
Why wouldn't she be in a max prison? She's killed tons of people is considered very dangerous.

Perhaps I misrepresented. My problem is making it look like she's Hannibal Lecter. Its just missing the muzzle. It's just kind of cheesy to me.

Clearly they want her to be the star standout of the film, and make her seem like she's the worst of all of them. She's not even the most potentially dangerous villain on the cast list.

And yeah, of course she's dangerous, but that had usually been portrayed to be at it's worst under the influence of Joker. She tends to mellow out a bit on her own in some stories, and she's definitely not more dangerous than some of the other Batman Rogues.

this idea that only SDCC goers are important enough to watch these trailers is baffling to me. You are multi billion dollar worldwide companies, what the fuck are you thinking?

So, it looks like Leto's Joker as we've seen him, is actually from Flashbacks from back in the day when Batman was more active and he tortures harley/makes her fall for him?

The scene with him in the trenchcoat might be the present?

Leto sounds and looks perfect for the role. I'm betting his small role in the trailer will holdover to the actual film.

Like what I see so far.

What character is Will Smith playing cause I all see is Will Smith. It was the same with Caine in Nolans films. Their actual persona preceded the characters they were portraying.

HQ wears a number of uniforms in this film apparently. Including the classic outfit at some point. We ain't ready.

Harley looks great, Joker looks... OK. It's a bit too early to tell with the rest. I'm guessing that Deadshot will end up being the "hero" of the group with the daughter angle and the fact that Will Smith is so often the good guy.

DC has gone full on sex object for Harley Quinn for awhile now. Don't expect any deep character moments from her since she's mainly there for adolescents to jerk it to.

Not that that can't work in the context of the movie. I think her character will be fun and exuberant but mostly a one note character that's constantly being sexualized.

This is one of my little issues to, whenever i see him now i just see Will Smith - he just doesn't seem to have any other character other than Will Smith.

We have...

  • [*]Deadpool Pass for me. Don't care for the character and the "trying too hard" jokes or from what I've seen.
  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
  • Captain America: Civil War
[*]X-Men: Apocalypse Pass. Don't care for what I've seen. 80s setting and no Logan? Nah.
  • Suicide Squad
  • Doctor Strange
...all next year. My body wallet may not be ready.
My list.

Don't care for this Joker one bit. Looks like he loves Nine Inch Nails and old Korn albums when's he's wearing that leather trench coat with the collar up.

I honestly have no idea why they wanted to keep it exclusive anyway. What's the point?

I presume because otherwise Comic-Con will mysteriously lose their application for a panel next year, or bump their TV projects into a smaller hall.

The trailer... it's like that one Ant-Man trailer nobody liked. The components are there, and it's great to see all the characters up on screen, but I feel we don't really have any signs of how the movie's going to feel because they're showing off so little dialogue.

Nevertheless the fact that it's happening is crazy awesome.

So Leto gets different shades of skin colour? Seems much more white in the first scene.
Also his laugh seems on point.
And bonus credits if the torture thing turns out real, would love that.

Don't care about the rest at all.

Seeing a big focus on Killer Croc gives me hope that Croccy boy is going be main batman villain alongside Deadshot and Harley.

The world needs more Killer Croc

Honestly, it's probably 2 things: firstly, creating the air of exclusivity creates more positive word of mouth (people present for the panel talk it up more), secondly they don't have to consider multiple target demographics, marketing plans, etc. and can just throw together something cool looking for the hardcore. Like, I really doubt this is the tone the majority of the marketing is going to take.

Joker will have a pivotal role explaining who Harley is which will help drive her narrative and motivation in context to the film's plot. I do not think his character will serve to drive the story as its villain, however. They may be saving that for a solo Batman flick.

My fear was simply "joker doing teamplay" is ALWAYS wrong
