I don't know what, if anything, they were supposed to symbolise, but I always found the random things going on in the background (or indeed the foreground, ahaha) during the Student Council meetings to be hilarious and charming in their bizarreness. They probably weren't remotely vital to the show in terms of relevance/meaning, but they helped a ton to give it its quirky appeal. Ditto for similar bizarrenesses such as the Nanami episodes (though those had more clear symbolic/character relevance as well, so bonus points I guess).
I can't consider stock footage a negative coming from Ikuhara. I just can't. Not after Zettai Unmei Mokushiroku, and especially not after car fabulousness.

My interest in this anime just rose significantly. It's a weird choice, but I can't really complain, since I enjoy Nisekoi and I love Shaft and Shinbo. I look forward to seeing Onodera headtilts.

Actually, is it possible to bend it back slightly, so that they're looking a bit more up with the angled perspective (kinda like you did with dresden's)? Was wondering if you could cover the left eye. If not, that's cool too. I just love that you got the gradient in there lol

I would also agree with K-On! bein easier to grasp for her. On top of it being relevant to her high school anxiety going on.
In any case, Madoka wasn't something I was throwing at her immediately, and it wasn't part of the initial batch. I just thought about it after I was done setting things up for her.
For the most part, she has never heard of it, which was the best case for this, but quite possibly the worst thing I've done because she knows it exists now.

Introducing someone to wholesome magical girl goodness with Precure and then throwing Madoka at them is, like, the greatest thing imaginable. You can't just let an opportunity like that slip by. She'll totally thank you for it.

And while I appreciated the quirks sometimes, other times it got kind of annoying. And the stock footage wasn't a huge gripe, just something I wasn't super excited on. On the one hand it worked, making certain things stick in my mind better, on the other, there was this scene toward the end where the camera panned toward Utena and Anthy like six times with the only difference between shots being a red swirly rose and I was just like "UGH WHATEVER."
And that car was something else.

I've been pretty hard on this season (and for good reason) but I will say the 2nd half was a much stronger half than the first one was. Especially these three episodes which were up there with just how good the first season and the OVA's were. There was some really good cuts of animation in these (especially ep 13, holy shit) and it was also pretty damn funny.
Hopefully the third season turns out much better.

Yeah, Azazel-san Z took a dive at the beginning but managed to make up for it in the end. I feel they should have made some of the two parters one episode long. Sometimes you felt like you were told a joke only be told you have to wait a week for the punchline by which time you really don't care about it anymore.
