I got recommended this show by Phoenix and was very skeptical at first (it was my first watch bet and I thought it was gonna end up being bad) but this show was just so adorable and really fun to watch. I'm actually surprised by how much the show became strictly about the tank battles, and they were a joy to watch. GuP takes place in a world where one of the most popular competitive sports for girls is to get into classic Tanks and blast the crap out of the other team planning a strategy so that they can aim for the main tank as taking out that head tank wins the game. The tank battles were animated very well, and they even provide the show with tons of Tank fanservice with little facts and such.
I really liked the characters too witha cute cast of characters, with none of them having actually got on my nerves. Each of the main 5 girls had their own personality and their own purpose within the tank crew which I thought was cool. Even Private Oddball had her own role at time scouting out the enemy. For only having 12 episodes, GuP ends up getting it's story finished very well as we get to see the girls rising in ranks as they win each battle leading them to the final battle
against Miho's sister who has been trained more in the way of her mother in that she likes to make the fight quick and ruthless. Also dat ending drift! Hypest finish ever!
Overall I really enjoyed this anime and it was a pleasent surprise since I had always thought it was something completely different than what it was. I liked it so much I ended up watching the tank battle episodes a second time. GuP did have a few things that seemed off to me though, such as the fact that
the school was gonna close down if they lose. The school was on an aircraft carrier and was basically the basis of the town on there. What happens when the school closes? If they didn't have money to keep the school open... why are they building schools on aircraft carriers in the first place!!!
Next time I will do my impressions episode by episode, but I've had a pretty long week and GuP and Idolm@ster both helped me get through it, but my next anime needs to be something a bit different than the cuteness of the last 2 animes I watched .
Overall I rate the Girls und Panzar 8 Huguus out of 10!
Hehe I know the feeling. It's easy to twll once I switch to my phone cause my spelling and everything just goes to shit. Gonna finish idolm@ster tonight (on episode 20) and then it's gonna be time to start something new!

Nozaki-kun 4
A very funny Mikorin episode. First half was hilarious with them loving the friend as their favorite characters and the second half was funny for Nozaki and Chiyo being terrible at mixers. It only needed Seo to be perfect
I absolutely adore this show. It's really stupid, and not all that creative at times, but it's just incredibly wild and fun. It helps that the protagonist is legitimately one of (if not THE most) entertaining character on the show (which is a rarity in the anime world) and the narrator is kickass. My only gripe is that the show doesn't leverage the entire cast enough. Hopefully that'll change!
So I just discovered Persona 4 Golden The Animation started a few weeks ago. How is the series thus far? Is it a rehash of the first animation series?
Also, my friend and I did a trade regarding anime/manga. I had him start reading Oyasumi PunPun (I gave him such a god-tier manga to read), and he is having me watch No Game No Life. What should I exactly expect from this show? Am I able to watch this show in my family's public area, or should I retreat to my room to watch this?
Wait, did his conversation with the mage guy really end at
that revelation about player death? What happened to the third use of World Fraction? Wasn't he going to give some information in exchange?
Don't hold out on me, show!
Anyway, the B-plot that had been going on for a while with the kids in the training camp turned out nicely. I know from my Dota experience how big a difference it can make when everybody's on the same page going into a teamfight, and episode 15 captured that feeling of cooperation well. I like the show when it gets at those elements of online culture.
Seems like things are about to get more serious. I'll be happy as long as Crusty keeps on winning life in his space marine armor.

Do not let your family see it I repeat. Do not let your family see it. It has some ecchi scenes so yeah watch it in your room. But as for the show it's pretty enjoyable and entertaining but it depends on you.

It was a bit slow to start but once it got going it was really good, I don't think it was amazing as people made it out to be though. The Rocky and high school movie references were fun but I didn't think the smaller ones like Ghostbusters and The Fly really added anything interesting. The dance number at the end was so good but the first one didn't hold my interest. I'll probably watch it again in english, it'll be interesting to see how the songs handle the translation. Really excited for the next episode. The ones where Dandy is thrown into a truly "alien" culture are usually amazing and it looked great visually from the preview.

I think the movie references were to help place it closer to 80s John Hughes era of this sort of thing. If only Molly Ringwald did the dub voice of the redheaded flower girl....

Much like Excel Saga, this is one of those anime that was always on the shelves at Blockbuster, but that I never saw. And I would have to see it eventually, for I've lived most of my life in Florida.
Three episodes in, and this did make me appreciate Sabagebu a little better, because Yao is the same kind of person Mokarin is. Destructive, egotistical, petty and brash, with a perverted sense of justice as it applies only to herself. The difference is that Lu's there, and I don't mind an over the top character as long as there's someone who tries to keep them in check. Lu does a good job of that, and is eccentric enough on her own.
The art style is not as polished or as "cute" as something like Rail Wars, even if it's got one foot in the same genre (and nearly as much fanservice), and the OP sounds like something from an old eroge. I'm surprised at the ED featuring footage from the music video. I've only seen that happen with Strawberry Panic and Pretty Rhythm before.
Episode 2 was probably my favorite so far. A "recap" episode that caught us up on events the audience has never seen. I love metajokes like that. Episode 3 with the girls' school was very anime, and also a lot of fun for Yao accidentally
befriending the mastermind
, and episode 1, the most "police"-like of the stories, set the tone for things to come in a slick package. I know this is a riff on things like You're Under Arrest (which I have not seen but want to), but it feels like the predecessor of things like Excel Saga or again, Sabagebu.
I like what I see so far. I may have found anime's Police Squad!

I was expecting more references to John Hughes films actually. It didn't have any of the teen drama and coming of age scenes you expect from his best films. It ended up feeling more superficial because of it I think.
watched 4 mins, not impressed still given the praise i decided to not drop it but to wtach it later.
This won't be the first time where one of my first impressions was wrong but currently i'm not in the mood.
