What you guys opinion about 009-1? Is this show worth the watch as I just saw the trailer for it and it did look fine and kinda like spy vs spy show once a while.

Rokka is great. The first few episodes introduce the characters, the true mystery drama only begins after episode 3 or so. From this season, if you are looking for some more stuff, I'd recommend Gangsta, God Eater, and maybe even Charlotte if you are looking for some high school setting stuff. You also have Shokugeki no Soma which is a favourite amongst us here and has been running since last season.
I dropped the show after EP 4 after the initially interesting mesoamerican setting turned out to be mostly irrelevant, but from what I heard it becomes kind of a mystery series a bit after that, so I might pick it back up later if I feel like it.
In order to recommend you shows, it'd be good to hear what genres and kinds of shows you like, and also whether you can stomach lots, little or no fanservice.

The individual characters are certainly the highlight
Im caught up to the latest episode(damn cliffhangers) and i kind of like our main... Seems yo have enough layers (though the strongest man thing... Wtf)
Flamie.... Not diggin her.. Should have come up.with a different backstory and theme.
Princess Piena (forget trying to spell her actual name) started off amazing and then quickly became lame.... I really hope she gets some fire back in her belly.
Goldov is lame at face value but is generating interest and suspicion which is cool. He seems like he has ample motivations and opportunity to do bad things to get what he wants while stil trying to maintain his current perceived image. I have no evidence of this.... Just a feeling

Hey, first AnimeGAF post as well!
I watched Rokka's first episode way back when it was released. I liked it, but not to the point I'd watch weekly. So two days ago I decided to go back and while I agree with you about the episodes that follow, around episode 4 it gets way better. I'm not sure where the plot will go after the current events, and if I'll like when they change focus, but the mistery right now it's quite nice.
As for other recommendations, watch Shokugeki no Soma. It started last season, but it's still the best among this season as well, imo.

Yeah, that was kind of weak. Too much comedy following last episode, and the triggers didn't hit Yuu hard enough. Weird coincidence that he just happens to run into the vocalist.

The super-trained and gifted seem to be even easier to fool than regular people oddly enough. Anna is still the best part. Good with a knife, yet vulnerable to toilet paper. Kosuri is kind of a dick(head).

The fact that the cast is made up of adults makes things interesting too since pretty much every single show out these days only features high school kids. I'm down for more. Sigh, once I'm all caught up, that's another show to add to the weekly queue. 12 shows. My lord.

Yeah, just like with games, TV shows and movies you can expect a vast majority of anime shows to be generic works that don't do anything particularily interesting. Still, there's often enough variety that you can probably find at least one decent show that you like per season.
It also feels like this thread chronicles my descent from watching shows for all ages, to series that use fanservice (KLK, Monogatari), and finally to things that I probably won't be coming back from (Oreimo, To-Love-Ru, Shimoneta and My Wife is the Student Council President)...

Seeing the justice bloodlust mode finally kick in was great. They set the mood well, and the transition with the wings and the birds was nice. When the air started to tremble and the particles spawned I thought she was going to go full Rasetsu or something.
I'm not gonna lie, I actually prefer what happened in the end, as it will make (I assume) one great revenge at the end. I'm glad I stuck with the show past the initial first, fairly uninteresting episodes. All the games have been enjoyable.
Also there is A LOT of eye shots in this show, and this episode assuredly had the most so far

I realized when I turned my Vita on that I forgot to finish this episode last night. I was actually a pretty good episode that deepened the corporate conspiracy story against A-TEC and proved, once again, that Nagisa really is on A-TEC's side now. The unfortunate part is it looks like Nagisa just totally blew off Mizuki and Iris for that matter. The script says this show has romance, but I doubt that's happening with only 4 episodes left. Angelina and sensei need to hook up, but you know it's Mizuki that really likes Nagisa.

Classroom Crisis has had its ups and downs but I think episode 8 was pretty good. I'm hoping for a strong finish.

So this oracle girl kicks total ass. The animation looked so fluid as she danced through the night taking the bandits out. Pretty noble effort seeing the military forces helping out the refugees, which ultimately got attacked by the dragon in the end. The last scene was pretty well done, with beautiful lights and a tinge of sadness as they all mourned the people's death. This show is really friggin good. Also the fact that the elf, which had her clothes removed because of the medical examination, got up naked after being passed out for so long with all the ruckus from the dragon fighting, and there were no anticlimactic blushies or nosebleeds from any of the male (or female) cast members as she tried to tell them in her language to shoot the eye, now that was awesome. They kept the moment tense, there was a bigger threat in front of them with people dying, there was no time to react to her lack of clothes. They just immediately changed tactics and drove the dragon out. Bravo.

Holy shit at that foreshadowing from Sala,the lead singer of Zheind, there is a HUGE connection with her (IMO) it's comments known. Lind people have better awareness of their surroundings by building and using their other senses, but she took it one step further
there is something more to her. Now, is regard to the whole Nao x Yuu thing, goodness, can you imagine how great Angel Beats could have been if they added this type of relationship development in for
. Great way to bring them together and as Sala cleared called him out on, he is finally putting someone else and their wants/needs in front of his own. This also goes directly with his comments/regrets about not paying Ayumi back for her thoughtfulNess and kindness. Excellently written episode for one with a lot of growth and development for characters, ships, and story. Now next week I bet we are going to get more info on Sala's blindness and how Zheind fits into the plotline. Excellent stuff. I think I liked that one too much, lol.

not just in the session with Nao's brother (the miracle) but in reading her surroundings and the feeling of those around her. Is that what she traded her eyesight for?
