I think I read somewhere that James has been around showing off the game, and if I remember correctly he also hinted at there would be coverage that is outside of the Edge-sphere.

I would imagine Edge has the exclusive in regards to hands-on, interviews and actual insight into the game. And then we get a public elaborate trailer and a "See you at E3".

This wasn't on my radar at all, in fact I thought it might just be a blip then disappear however the hype is (slowly) building. Fizzie on twitter is some of the best (and most fun) marketing, props to the PR team.

From what I've read in this thread some people were having fun with the mascot and website parody humor, no one was 'losing their minds'. I don't quite understand why people can't be optimistic (or dare I say excited) about a concept and teaser information without the fun police coming in the ruining the day. Maybe the people on the negative side should also take your advice and wait for gameplay.

2. Ratchet and clank all-4-one was aweful
3. Ratchet and clank full frontal assault is a text book example of how to kill a franchise
4. Fuse.... Need I say more.

Now that you mention it, I do remember some tweets about people playing the game. Would love it if they release a short gameplay teaser to build hype for E3.

I would be surprised if we won't see some of the game before E3 (especially since Spencer just said recently there will be coverage of games before E3).

But the hands-on stuff could be anything from judges week to just showing the game off to friends in the press.

I wasn't interested in the game much prior to this, but I might give it a try just for the satire-laden content. Anything that turns the mirror on our society and pokes fun at it deserves a go, even if it winds up sucking.

What exactly were you expecting from them?
If you don't like Insomniac's brand of humor than this game clearly isn't for you.

I think 'Sexburger' is a bit too direct though, 'Up your Arsenal', 'Full Frontal Assault' and 'Quest For Booty' were all tongue in cheek double entendre humour, Sexburger is just so direct. I've always like Insomniacs juvenile pun humour so I've faith there's more witty stuff than that in the actual game but that one just fell a bit flat for me too.

It was the first thing I thought of when I saw it. Why did they use something so close to sackboy. Maybe this is about some Sony/Insomniac fallout or something. It just seems unnecessarily close to me. It even has a seam in the middle of the head, .like a stitch or something. Someone should tweet @ysop and ask him about the sackboy clone.

He basically looks like the default LBP smile, with the vamp teeth.

Someone could fire up LBP and show how easy it is to make a clone of this.

Not really a style I like artistically, but I'm cheering for Insomniac on this one.
I hope they have a hit- but people in this thread (at least one in particular whose name escapes me) predicting it to be a 'Gears of War level hit' seem like they are stretching a hell of a lot.

Anyway- keep up the good work, jstevenson. One of the friendliest guys around.
