All I saw was 3 News articles all dated within the past 9 hours, and 2 websites, 1 of them being the official website, so I clicked on it without scrolling down more. But yeah I guess I should have known it was a year old since I never saw a video from a year ago and instead see 3 articles from today.

Seriously these two replies are fucking ridiculous. Nothing wrong with the one reply saying "unless you consider a year old," as it makes the point it is indeed not new, but does so in good fun. These two replies really are just condescending in tone. God forbid someone does not hear of every single video game around here without someone else trying to belittle them and their knowledge. How stupid of me, I forgot I was dealing with the l33test of the l33t.

I wouldn't get too upset with those replies. I think some fans of the game (what we know so far at least) and Insomniac fans in general are just a little on edge with the drive-by posts filling Sunset Overdrive threads lately. It's been really bad lately.

....or people are just putting what very little we know about the game under microscope. It could be nothing more than a play on all the different burger joints that pop up. I doubt they were expecting people to lol over the name.
Also by reading this thread Sony now owns the rights to plush dolls. Now that is funny.
Not really digging the character art, hopefully it comes together once I see the game in motion.

I think it's more likely they're trying to somehow tip the scales towards 'MS ripped off Sony!' than thinking there's any real likeness, because apart from having a round head, two eyes and a mouth I don't see it myself. Anyway, Sackboy is all about dressing up and Fizzie likes to get you fat.
And Resistance 3 showed that Insomniac do orange and shooting beautifully, in my opinion. I hope SO surprises those people who are down on Insomniac and this game.

That's funny, I actually thought of Nibbler too when I first saw him. I suppose I can see the very superficial comparisons to sackboy, but I think it's pretty exaggerated. They're really not that similar outside of some very basic things.

Dates correspond to E3 (and MS have mentioned they're doing some "fan-centric" events surrounding E3), SDCC, Gamescom, and PAX Prime.
Hopefully for the people who get to go to those events it's implying playable demo stations.
YES PAX Prime! So excited to see more of this game. Pax prime is the perfect timing for post e3 goodness

isn't this game not coming out for a while? they've really got to pace themselves with that Twitter account, make like one tweet a day and make sure they're actually funny.
nice to see Insomniac make a big game like this, their PS1/PS2 stuff was great and hopefully they're at least trying to tap into that style a little.

I agree. People will make excuses for this type of behavior, but just know you're more likely to get a level headed response on GAF than elsewhere
E3 puts everyone on edge for some reason so here's hoping you get the info you need in the future without the witch hunt.
