I purchased the retail version, you have ~35 gigs on the discs to install and the rest to download. It's bullshit but it's a workarond for slow internet speed.

Gungale's mechanics actually looked kind of awesome, too. Why can't I play the game with one shot kills where appropriate and bullet dodging as a primary mechanic?

I'm pretty sure I'm on Irish Potato ISP from America. I have the same problem where I want to avoid digital whenever possible because I have a 50GB data cap and it's slow as balls to boot.
I live in near city and have a decent internet provider. I should be getting at least 2Mbs
It's so terrible without the threat of tbe flood! The gravemind and flood was so interesting. They made the plot so much better since they were like an unstoppable force that everyone feared. I also hated to cop out of the humans not being the forerunners. Damn.. imagine if they did a forerunner origin game where you played as the forerunner.. except they would be human. Human forerunners.
Why did we lose the biggest bro, the arbiter! Like the halo 3 campaign of two dude bros was awesome. Needed more banter maybe, but ehh..
