Yes. Especially considering the love that went into All Stars on the SNES.

This is just a compilation of three games which should've been available on a Switch Virtual Console years ago. Feels like too little too late.
 
Day one purchase will be at Best Buy or Walmart on September 18th. My only issue is I wish Mario 64 at least looked better, I wish it could've gotten the OOT3DS treatment. Sunshine/galaxy looks good.

I also want to add that for Kirby's anniversary (also on Wii) they had NES, Gameboy, Super Nintendo, and N64 games as well as a new challenge mode with 3D graphics.

Yet for Mario, both now and 10 years ago, mario gets the garbage treatment.

Heck even the garbage All Stars collection had a book and soundtrack CD.

yes its almost like Kirby is a second tier character and Mario is the videogame equivalent of Mickey Mouse
 
I guess this means no N64 game on NSO this month. See, re-up time is coming and last year they introduced SNES games on NSO and I was expecting N64 games this Spetember but with Mario 64 being released like this, you won't be seeing it on NSO. Without Mario 64 they likely won't be bringing any N64 games to NSO.

Also curious, look how the logo is split into 4 sections with only 3 games? It's like there is a 4th game that will be a surprise.

Yeah, HARD pass will emulate activision did a better job with their platformers.

This is what it refers to. The game will be playable on Switch Lite and also with a Pro Controller, but you need a Joy-Con for the optional coop mode where one player collects the star bits.
 
Not including, or even mentioning Galaxy 2 feels like a crime. It's far and away the best Mario game. If they had plans to release it standalone anytime in the next year, we would have heard it here.
 
Once pre-orders are up I'm jumping in. Just in case Nintendo decides to make a limited amount of copies. I don't want to go through the same crap I did when Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Edition for Wii came out. I had a hard time finding a copy when I didn't pre-order.

Wow at the limited time release. That's one way to keep those prices from never going on sale.

this package just isn't for me. I have my Wii if I want to play all 3 of those game

the biggest negative is that this means we aren't probably getting n64 games on switch online. No way they would launch that without Mario 64

I do not retract my statement, your Honor! In all seriousness though, Nintendo fans are the most docile of them all: They would follow the firm to the depths of Hell if needs be. I do think taking a stance every once in a while would deter the firm from abusing some of its predatory tactics.

The one saving grace is that it looks like they did a port of the N64 Mario 64 and not the 3DS remake with the awful replacement models.

Why the fuck would they not include Galaxy 2???
 
Wait, so they didn't enhance SM64? Wow, that's just...wow...

I was actually looking forward to 3D All Star, but now my heart's broken. I am actually starting to think the Switch is my absolutely last Nintendo console I get. The output has been very disappointing lately and this felt like the last straw. Feels almost cathartic in a way.

i have the original copies of the three games but i only finished Galaxy so am definitely getting this 😉

It is not required, unless you want to play Galaxy co-op.

The games are all compatible with Pro Controllers.
