Shoddy ports and emulation, specially the Super Mario 64 one, having the source code is inadmissible that they release that piece of junk I was expecting a full remaster, or at least one competent port, it doesn't even have 16:9 support.

Jut look what the community has done with SM64 and what a multimillion corporate hasn't been able to do..

Anyway super excited for Super Mario Sunshine I will just wait for the inevitable 60fps hack since Nintendo didn't even bothered....
 
This really should have Galaxy 2 as well. It's just a lazy re-release, why the fuck is Galaxy 2 not in it? And limited availability? Fucking shameful. Still have my Wii and Gamecube, so I don't need these.

To be fair, they are trying to celebrate 35 years of Super Mario. Keeping the game a bit blocky keeps it nostalgic. They also had blocky SM64 in Odyssey.

Well at least it comes 1 day after many of us strike out trying to get a 3080.

I remember Mario's mustache being blurry and pixelated for example. In the trailer it looked very clear, and the brickwork looked better to my memory.

I'd imagine a high percentage of those playing these titles for the first time are kids, and they're being ripped off.

And is that how you critique pricing? Whether or not I can afford it is one thing, but that doesn't make these prices reasonable at all. Like, I could afford a $10 stick of bubblegum, but there is no way I would justify that pricing. Your response is childish and poorly thought out, Phonepunk.

It was a fun game. It didn't feel as epic as Mario 64 to me at the time. My biggest complaint was the camera. I'm sure that as people play it, that complaint will arise again since it likely hasn't been touched.

not really upset at the lack of them "upgrading" Mario 64. if they did that this board would be full of people complaining that they used the wrong HD textures and shit.

besides you can't improve on perfection.

My kid really wants to play all three of these. Too bad Galaxy 2 isn't in here (like, WTF!?), but this is still a big win for my kid.

So are these emulation or some kind of rewrite on the switch? And 1080p I'm guessing?

From that Mario 64 screenshot alone it looks like they are darkening the brightness by at least 20% like they have been doing for all VC games since Wii U.

Finally! These couple of weeks ahead can't go by fast enough.

Also, I think SMG2 will come. There's just something funny about the widescreen banner split in 4, with SMG having a round edge like being a part of something else bigger.
It will either be on-game unlockable or a potentially free update.

Where is the second image from? It looks like it has higher resolution assets. Look at the eyes, buttons and moustache. The camera icon also looks higher res. This is not how it looks in the Wii VC, though i'm not sure how it looks in WiiU. This looks like a custom HD texture mod. Or is it the All Stars version?

Just think about the people who bought Super Mario Bros on NES, Mario All Stars on SNES, Mario Deluxe on GBC, NES Classics Super Mario Brothers on GBA, Super Mario Bros on Wii VC, Mario 25th Anniversary Collection on Wii, Super Mario Bros on 3DS, and Super Mario Brothers on Wii U, then paid a monthly subscription to get access to Super Mario Brothers.
 
My question is, what kind of enhancements any of these games will get? Resolution bumps? Frame rate fixes? Will Sunshine finally run at 60FPS? Or will these be straight up ports running at 25-27 FPS like before?

From the twiter pic it seems like Mario 64 is getting high-res 2D assets and (some) textures. Not sure about the other games.

Why would they only sell it until March...I wish 64 would have been a remake or at least include Galaxy 2, this feels like the minimum effort.

If you wait to buy it the price is only gonna go up since its gonna end production so soon, guess I gotta get it at full price.
