Super "NeoGAF Arcade Stick Thread" II TURBO

We can do that? how?

You just contact them via chat after the order ships and they'll refund you (in Amazon store credit of course) the difference. It's only for the lowest price within 7 days of your order and only for items that say "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com".

Hard to say without seeing the PCB. If it's common ground, it could be done easily. If it's not it can still be done but it'll be a pain in the ass. There are folks out there with sticks that have Wii U pro pads in them so it may be cheaper to go that route.

$126 for HRAP4. Might as well buy it now and then Amazon will refund you the difference when it drops more.
The Pro Controller is $50 (I got mine for $30), the Hori Pokkén Fight Pad is around $30.

the mayflash V2 is back to being sub $60 again

if anyone still needs an 360/PS3 stick. makes a good compact shell too.

Highly recommend this stick.

The buttons are ass but the weight and feel of the case is solid and weighty. Also, the compartment for the USB cord actually works extremely well....HORI...

I sold the one I had modded for PS4 to my brother but I may buy another one.

Ya know, I see complaints about this from some other people and I just don't see it. Hell, this Mayflash has a similar door and the cord comes out the side of the case? The hell?

Also, the door on the newer HRAP series is really nice and solid. Also has a lot more room than before.

I thought people were exaggerating talking about Hori's doors. Until I got a HRAP4 Kai.

After two weeks of use, I placed the Kai on my lap and the door fell off and broke.

Got a couple questions on the hORI Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai for PlayStation 4/3.
Does it work for pc?
How is the stick and buttons? Can I change it with sanwa parts?

Is the art customisable?

Im no expert but yes, is PC compatible, and yes, you can change the buttons and stick for Sanwa parts.

And no, you cant change the art.

My Seimitsu modded VLX for Dariusburst. Perfect.

Actually I should've said pay $50 for a wooden balltop. I don't really get the appeal, let alone paying that much for one. Is it because it's an official limited product. Personally I don't like art on a stick either. Plain sticks look much nicer unless the art is exceptional or something.

Because it looks awesome. It feels nice. It makes my stick look different.

I have three, and I put them on sticks they match with (also bought some of the fake ones from paradise arcade), and I lke them because I love the way they look.

Likewise with art. If I can make my stick look like my own, I'm going to. Plan sticks can look okay, but I don't typically like stock artwork. Fightingedge is the only one, really.

All about preference. :) I like to make my sticks look like my sticks, so if a bunch of people have, say a TE2, or a VLX, I know which one is mine.

I have a wood balltop that I love the look of, I believe it's the same one in Skill's pic. I just don't have a good stick to put it on unfortunately.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. A polished tropical forest(lol) balltop seems like it would look tacky on a plastic case. That's kind of getting way into arcade controller aesthetics for me lol. It looks good on a wooden case though. Don't mind stick art, I get the layout of the stick is conductive of customization like that, like phones with their cases and stuff. I just prefer the clean look of a stock stick, unless it looks like crap or something. The Fighting Edge looks so sleek for example.

Such superfluous appointments are welcome on the mighty vlx.

Pretty much this.

I got the Vewlix specifically for Darius and only using it for that game. The game was such an event for me I wanted to make the stick a little special. The little wood touch was perfect!

Damn. You mean the actual arcade hardware of burst or did you get it on PS4?

Nah...just for PS4. I'm gonna get a second one for the game as well!

I'm hoping the stick will work with the PC version of the game. Got big plans on a special two-screen Dariusburst setup!

Have a V3 and V4 kai and never had an issue with the door. It might be how you fold the cord when you put it inside. I don't know. I may have the rare ones that don't break.

Anyone see or have any first hand impression of the TE2+ from NEC. Just a TE2 with the touchpad?
Basically, though I heard that it uses the improved Chun-Li plexi (correct me if I'm wrong). It also has L3 & R3 buttons, though neither those or the touch pad are used in Street Fighter V in any way. The additional buttons would mainly help with USF4 or Xrd.

I just got a PS4 a few weeks ago and my only arcade stick is a PS3 Madcatz brawl stick that I modded with Sanwa parts. Guilty Gear Xrd doesn't support PS3 sticks right? Are these the only PS4 games that do support PS3 sticks:

USF4
Skullgirls
Injustice

What's the cheapest way to use a PS3 stick on PS4 games that don't support them?

Injustice doesn't work with ps3 sticks.

One of these is probably the cheapest way right now.

How do you know the those buttons aren't used?

Yeah, MK did. I haven't used it personally, but have only heard good things. There's an extensive thread for it on SRK and it's all positive.

Right now you can't map the touchpad click to back/select. You're stuck with share mapped to the back/select, although the dev is supposedly looking into it,

How do you know the those buttons aren't used?

Aha. Hopefully they are used after all.

So you are talking out of your ass based on an incomplete build of a non-final version of a game.

Saying it's not in the beta is fine. Saying it's not in the final game because it's not in the beta is stupid. I'm not saying the functionality is there or not, but you don't actually know shit. It's almost like the company making the stick in cooperation with Capcom might know something. Almost.

That's why I said that it could change. And judging by MarkMan's response, something did change.

You didn't say it could change. You said

This is just as moronic as saying Directinput sticks won't be supported on PC in SFV in any way because they aren't in the last version of the beta. It's typical for the way you post though, so I shouldn't be surprised.
