Super "NeoGAF Arcade Stick Thread" II TURBO

There are hand screws in the cable compartment, when you loosen/remove those you can open it up with the hinge. See here: http://imgur.com/gallery/Rauwe

Kind of surprised me when found it but yes, thank you.

I gotta say though. IMO! Bat top > Ball top. It just feels right. EWGF feel so much better to do. The Sanwa button will take some time to get used to since they're new. Got the nice cushion feel again but the quiet taps are awesome and precise.

Edit: Street Fighter feels a lot better too. Dragon punch, fireball, feel really nice. The hunger for SFV is real now.

Edit 2: Forgot my pic!

dont hate, its based on a Vewlix C, the shiny foil looks better in person. and it with red buttons is the way to go.

Suppose I eventually pick up that new VLX stick: if I want to change out the black buttons with the red ones like on your cab, if I'd order Sanwa buttons off of FocusAttack, do I get the Vermillion or the Dark Red? It can be sometimes hard to tell due to lighting and such.

Also, do you happen to know the right replacement Sanwa button color for the PS2 Tekken 5 Ann. stick? They look dark red in one angle, but kinda vermillion in another way. I apologize for the barrage of questions! Thanks!

Vermillion OBSFs are kinda orangey in person

I recently brought a HRAP 4 veiwlix for $275. I'm pretty excited to mod it along with my fifth VS stick.

During the past week, I've been fixing a lot of old TEs by replacing the home board or replacing the usb cable and I've been modding other sticks for PS4 with FC4 pcb.

Hey guys , Pokken is arriving soon and I was looking for arcade sticks for the wiiu , is the tatsunoko vs cap on stick compatible with the wiiu or is it just that tekken arcade stick ? Can't find what I'm looking for anywhere :(

The TTT2 stick operates like a Wii classic controller. It plugs into the Wii Remote, same as the TvC stick. The functionality of those 2 sticks should be equivalent to each other.

$80 ain't shit for five system compatibility and no solder. I think I'm going to pick one up for my Poison stick.

edit: fuck it, bought one
I still need the cash to get it, more so since I'm tied up with other purchases at the moment. But once I have enough, that PCB will be mine.

80 bucks is SUPER cheap for something with that much compatibility.

Hmm... I'm too use to just soldering stuff and I just don't see the use of x1 compatibility. I'll likely buy six of them my sticks in the future to dual my with my mc Cthulhus, since I still play on ps2 consoles.

Edit: There won't be any need to drill holes for dpdt switches through the imp v2/ MC Cthulhu and this opens a lot of space in the stick. Definitely, will get a few of these in the future.

So.... I'm kinda hype to try one of these... 80 bucks seems a bit much though.

OH man I'm buying this right now to put into my GiantSword.

WOW! I can now switch out my old PS360 in my Shadaloo and put the PS360+ in that one instead.

One thing I want to know though, what kind of screws do I need for the PCB? They never include screws for these things.

Hey guys, I think I'm going to pick up the TE2+, but I really want to change the art on it. I don't have access to photoshop so I don't think I can do anything with the templates that are out there.

Is there any where I can look for custom art files that other people have done? If not, I may just get something printed around the right size without the template stuff on it and cut it to fit.

Wow, tat $80 adapter is super worth it. I was thinking about swapping out the HRAP4Kai board for the PS3/PS4 fightboard they make, but it didn't have screw terminals and I didn't feel like soldering (for once). Then a couple of shops made breakout boards for the thing, but that ends up making that board cost even more. I also was considering investing in a PS3/4 to Xbone adapter for Killer Instinct and anything else that may come out, so there's an added cost over the $80.

I want this board, now. Hopefully impressions are positive when it's out because holy moly would it be a great investment.

If you don't need Xbone functionality, there's always the original Brooks PS3/PS4-only "Fighting Board".

Edit: I'm definitely getting 5 of these in the future. Currently selling all of my extra monitors, pcbs, and 5th VS stick to cover the close at this point.

Nice, I have a Norris stick I wired up using a ps3 screw terminal pcb way back, I think I'm gonna get one of these and replace it. Much cheaper than spening $200+ on a TES+ or TE2+

No kidding. I can remod all my non-quadmod sticks for only a tiny bit more than a TE2. It's great!

I also don't have to get my little bro his stick or get a separate 360 stick for Marvel, anymore. I can just quad-mod my Eightarc Onyx & use that for everything mentioned.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the new TES+?

I copped that SFxT capcom bag for putting the stick in and am now praying it's big enough.
In theory, it should be around the original TE-S in size. Though I suppose MarkMan would be able to provide more specifics.

Like the way you hold your own bat top.

No way. Balltops are awful. So slick and easy to make a mistake with. My execution became significantly better after switching to a bat top.
Uhh, I don't know what that means. (or maybe I do)
I ended up gripping it and was also surprised how much I liked the batt vs ball. Just not sure the "proper" way.

Same way you would a ball top. I recently switch to bat top and I love it. My fireball motions are more consistent and EWGF (Tekken) feel more precise. Everyone has their own play. You just gotta find it.

I (kinda) wineglass held the ball but I am gripping the bat. It didn't feel natural to use the same grip.

I was thinking about just going with that cheap PS3/PC board on Focus Attack for my next stick (whenever that is) but I might as well go with that new Brook one. Plus it looks like a drop in replacement for the PS360+ so I guess I can just swap it into my current one if I get lazy.

If it's like the PS360+ it's some tiny metric screw (or similarly tiny SAE). It's in the PS360+ manual or installation diagram somewhere but I can't find it now. For my stick I think I just ended up using the thinnest screws and the smallest nylon washers I could find at Home Depot or Lowes.

Yo MarkMan how similar is that Fightstick Alpha to the Namco stick? I REALLY like the Namco stick, especially the upward slant and the Hori parts.
