And they're misleading, at least for the JLF, cause the octagonal gate (and circle afaik) are bigger than the square. The throws to the diagonals are the same distance while the X/Y axes are extended out to match.
I don't think you're considering the fact that actuators are round and can't go all the way to the edge of a sharper than right angle corner. And it's reasonable to assume a correctly made octogate will have the same or slightly less horizontal and vertical travel because expanding the travel means the actuator would just crash into the microswitch. And they're misleading, at least for the JLF, cause the octagonal gate (and circle afaik) are bigger than the square. I remember it in particular cause when I got octagonal gates myself I was expecting it to constrict the diagonals, but instead it extended the other axes. Worked fine but wasn't a big fan of the increased throw area. I got the JLF Kowal actuator a while back to bring it all in, and it made the stick a little tighter too, it was a nice addition.
...but hell if I know how the Hayabusa one is. If it's the Kowal thing I saw before I'd trust that it's good just cause other than my experience with the JLF actuator, the guy is crazy about stick details, I figure he knows what he's doing. Looks like it works with the JLF actuator too, might want to try that too depending on the throw of his octo gate.
I ordered both the octagonal gate and the actuator.

Got around to checking tonight, and yep! There was still a thin, plastic film on the top of my plexi. I removed it and it looks much better now. No more scuffs and scratches all over it.So I just went to rub away a smudge on my TE2 plexi (the new thicker one), and when my nail grazed it it left a visible, thick scratch. I barely touched it!
So I'm wondering if maybe there's a thin layer of protective plastic on the side that faces up. I remember removing one on one side when I first got the new plexi in the mail, but maybe it was on the underside. I feel like straight up plexi would not scratch this easily.
So my original plan was to install the Brook UFB in my stick that currently has a MC Cthulhu installed. I was just gonna swap out the boards. I was thinking though, is there any good reason to keep the MC Cthulhu? If so, is it possible to easily install both boards in one stick?
I also totally forgot I had a stick case made for me way back that I never did anything with. I could just leave the MC Cthulhu alone and install the Brook UFB in that.
Not finished yet, its a project for the Venom PS4 arcade stick.

Brook adapter works with PS360 in ps3 mode.![]()
I'm sure this was known, but I haven't been paying much attention to the device. I have a few cthulu mods, have to see if those work. Pretty much every stick I own will work on ps4 now.
I resoldered a model 1 Sega Saturn controller from broken cable with a third party Sega Saturn controller cable should that be enough skill wise to get Brooks adapter to convert my hori hrap3sa?
Would like to avoid getting a New stick for sfv and ggrd revelator
I'm not sure I understand the question.
If you're looking for an easy way to get a stick to current gen, I'd say you should just get the brook pcb:

I would bet smoke for sure. White buttons on that stick wouldn't match anything on it. I don't see them doing that.Does anyone know what color select/start buttons are going to be on the TES+?
The store pages show the same smoke color as the top, but I remember the mad catz exhibition for SFV showed them as having white buttons.
Ever hear back from Art about this?I emailed him the other day too. I think he's going to do it! *fingers crossed*
Ever hear back from Art about this?
He said he was open to it. I'll ping him again tomorrow.
FYI if you have the PS4 Brook adapter, there's a firmware update now that makes the select/back button work as the touchpad click instead of the Share button.
I saw there was an update for the 360X1 to PS4 adapter on Friday but didn't install it yet. The comment on the Brook site says Select + Right Stick to simulate touchpad. Is that the new macro for it (instead of L3+R3) or is that for emulating the touch function itself?
I'll be trying it when I get home anyway (if I remember to) but it would be nice to know right now.
Guys, for the Brooks adapter, which update do I need for a 360 stick. I see a handful of them listed on the official site in the "360 to PS4" page, one even says "Optional". I assume it's just the latest one/top of the page?
Has anyone ever found a way to get the original TE2 to stop squeaking when you put pressure on it with your hands/wrists? The squeaking comes from the edges of the top panel where they mean the bottom half of the stick, along the line where it opens. Does that make sense?
It's the plastic squeaking because it doesn't rest completely flush when the stick is closed.
It may have been for all I knowDang I hope that's been fixed with the TE2+
So I have a Mad Catz SFxT stick for Xbox 360 that I would love to use on PS4 for Street Fighter V and I really do not want to buy another arcade stick,
What is my best option? One of these Brook adapters (which look difficult to obtain) or a CronusMAX? Even though CronusMAX is a bit pricier, I can also use it on Xbox One too. However, using a USB hub and a standard controller on PS4 is kinda funky.
Thoughts?
Does anyone know how often Mad Catz restocks the TE2 bezels and side panels? I was hoping to eventually mod my TE2+ with darker colors, but all the black/smoke colored accessories seem sold out.
Are you planning on restocking the led pcbs?
I ordered both the octagonal gate and the actuator.

Artwork or other stuff like layouts/colors or the whole stick itself? Whatever it is, prototype if you can, even if it's just like printing out something on plain paper and laying it on the stick. Won't be accurate or anything, but it'd give some idea of what it'll look like in the flesh without committing to it.What do you guys do when you have two mock up drafts for your stick and can't decide which one to finalize?
Main concern would be if the screws fit the controller board you're using, like I remember the PS360+ had some tiny holes, and not much space for the screw heads to rest. Worst case there's always creative zip tying.I found these glue-able PCB standoffs. Anyone have a different suggestion? These seem like the way to go.

So according to the following thread we should be able to use PS3 sticks for the PS4 version of SF5, right?
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1181730
Is there some further confirmation or an update regarding this?
I have a PS3 arcade stick with an MC Cthulu PCB - hopefully this won't be any different and will still work fine.
If I know that I can play the game perfectly fine with my current stick I am buying a PS4 along with SF5 day one.
I only tried just the back button on a 360 stick. Didn't try the regular controller. I *think* select+RS is to simulate swipes, and L3+R3 is now share, but not 100% sure.
