Personally, I like them more than sanwa parts. Haybausa feels smoother to me and the kuros have a softer feel to them. The kuros tend to have a love/hate relationship with people though, so they're just something you have to try out

Yeah, i love the hayabusa. I think the kuros are garbage, though. Try them out for yourself.

Hayabusa impressions here seem positive enough that I'd order it but now I really need to press those kuros in person.
 
Update on the Ultra SF4 PS3/PS4 TE2 FightStick. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday/port congestion/customs it's looking like everything will have to ship out next week instead of this week as planned. Our apologies. If this changes (hopefully it does), we'll update everyone.

NOTE: I work for Mad Catz.

Also! I got this in over the weekend... This is the NA packaging, different from the blue one for Asia/Japan.

Anyone ever send their stick into Gummods for a PS4 padhack? What was his service like?

I'm going to leave my Qanba Q1 with my brother when I move out in a couple days and I'll buy another stick for myself. I wish I wasn't broke so I'm going to have to wait until I start getting paid at my new job in a couple weeks.

Hori stick came in, pretty disappointed with the build quality. I mean it seems like a good stick, but pales in comparison to my Qanba I had for ps3 which was the same damn price.

Qanba just had a lot more weight to it, better base, more solid plastic, and a really good handle. Stick/buttons themselves feel really similar but really can't test them side by side.

Are you talking about the X1 one? I'm disappointed too. I talked to them recently actually and they mentioned there are some changes, so that's probably why you haven't seen this roll out in other models yet. But yeah, ever since I first saw it at E3 I was skeptical on the build.

It gets the job done though. I'm going to mod mine and I'll show you how cool it can look though!
 
I'm trying to pre-order the XRD TE2 but I keep getting an error when trying to place my order saying:
"We were unable to authorize this purchase with the credit card infomation given. Please go back and check the accuracy of the information provided."

Weird, I guess I'll try tomorrow?
 
I ended up ordering a KI stick through amazon this past week for only 130$ canadian. Shipping was only 8 bucks. Seeing that a cronos max was around 60$ I didn't think it was too bad for the zero hassle solution. Normally those things are worth north of 200$ so I'll be pretty happy when it shows up :D
 
Are there any Qanba/Eightarc sticks that work with PS4? I'd prefer to buy a stick that can work at LEAST with PS3, PS4 and 360, but if I can't get 360 compatibility I'd settle for just PS3/PS4. I don't want to have tons of sticks sitting around. :/

Nope. The only sticks for ps4 currently are hori and madcatz. Both of those work w/ ps3, though.

Crap. I don't suppose either of them also work for 360? Also, do any of the Madcatz sticks not have themed artwork on them? I don't mind making my own custom art, but I kinda don't want to right now. hah.
 
The only PS3/PS4 stick that Mad Catz makes without game licensed artwork is available in Japan at the moment.

Also, there is no way there will be a legally available cross platform stick (Microsoft console + Sony console) for next gen. :(

Hrm. Okay! So if I want something with minimal artwork for now that's both PS4 and PS3 compatible it seems like the Guilty Gear stick is the way to go, eh? Mechanically it's the same as the USF4 stick, correct? Also, any Cyber Monday deals to get me to jump in on a GG TE2?

As for the 360 compatibility... Yeah, that makes sense. Oh well. Hopefully soon they'll announce Ultra for PS4. =(

No cyber Monday deals, but MarkMan said they'd announce something good special for TE2 at capcom cup.


I'm hoping whatever it is can be paid forward to people who preordered the moment they could and can't wait for a stick until after xrd is released. ;-)

Will the Mad Catz® Ultra Street Fighter® IV Arcade FightStick™ Tournament Edition 2 for PS4 work natively on PC?

Seems it might be time to upgrade... new stick uses Sanwa so will still be able to use my stock pile of parts :)!
 
Our sticks are not designed for PC use, however I can tell you from testing that the newest PS3/PS4 one works just fine. Again though, we can't guarantee that they will work. ;)
 
How's the V4 for PS4? Looking for a stop gap option to use for PS4 games with Xrd around the corner until I get something custom built.

I wanted the Persona TE2 but it's impossible to get any solid information from Mad Catz about availability and shipping so I've given up.

I called to see if I could change my shipping address. She put me on hold to make sure it hadn't shipped. They told me I'd have to cancel my preorder and order again. I didn't want to do that (and I hope the rep didn't cancel my order...I assume I would have received an email).

So I asked if she knew when it would ship. She said within the next two weeks.

Accurate, I guess, if it ships this week. It seems like they don't know their product and are confusing dates.

It's all good. I didn't realize I'd put my home address in and wanted to change it. I don't need to, though. Especially if it means cancelling my preorder. Don't want to get shoved to the back of the line. I'll just have USPS or UPS hold it at the facility after I get my tracking number.

The thing now is...I'd much rather have the Xrd stick since I like the colors more. I thought I would have the SF stick sooner. :/

I guess if you expect delays on the Xrd stick because of customs, it'll all be a wash. Like I said, because I can follow your twitter and communicate with you on srk/gaf, I'm less frustrated. I've received 3 different answers when I ask when the SF4 stick is shipping when I call support. I'm getting it on ps3 so I can play on a stick, so I'm less impatient. I just want a stick for GG, man! :P
 
Mark, since the USF4 stick's shipping date seems to have been bumped about a week and change (from late November to early December), should we expect the Xrd stick to get a similar bump or is that still on track for mid December?

I don't mind either way, I'll be back home with the folks until the first week on January either way, just curious.

USF4 is slated for this week. The only reason it was a big delay as it was, due to it being Thanksgiving week as well. So yeah, hope we can ship preorders/orders out by end of this week for the USF4 PS4/PS3 sticks!

For Guilty Gear, it is still on schedule :) won't know more until it's getting closer to arriving.
