My stick has been "in transit" in my city for over 14 hours now.
I cant stop hitting refresh, someone help.

Has anyone here modded a Hori Hayabusa with new microswitches? I need a silent stick, but I'm not sure how difficult it is to change the microswitches. The silent jlf is on sale atm, but I'd rather keep using the hayabusa if the mod isn't too hard.
You'll have to solder the micro-switches in with the existing pcb, or use this http://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/server5...V_HARNESS__56904.1438218831.1280.1280.jpg?c=2 and chip off some the hayabusa's sides.
That doesn't sound too bad. Are the protective sleeves on the stock micro-switches supposed to come off, or am I supposed to cut them? I was trying to take them off, but felt like I was breaking the micro-switch.
Yes and HRAP4. The MadCatz sticks will already have Sanwa parts so no need to replace those, plus the HRAP is cheaper.
What if I had $150 in amazon credit? Would the better deal be to wait and get the $200 TES+?
if you're gonna replace the HRAP parts with sanwa anyway, then it's just down to personal preference on layout and ascetics. fwiw the HRAP has dropped to ~$100 on amazon before, which makes it a no-brainer imo.
It has a good heft to it, but it's not as heavy as, say, an Eightarc Onyx.Does anyone know what the weight is of the T.E 2?
Same to youHappy new year, stick-gaf.![]()
I got the HRAP V4 a few days ago. I'm loving it so far. The only thing I'm not fond is some games for PC require a 3rd party program such as XPadder for it to be recognized. It's not a huge deal, but I just might have to set up a profile per fighting game. It works great on the PS3 and PS4 though.
Should I get an hrap4 or Fighting edge? I like the hrap but the fighting edge looks really nice and I'm cool with waiting to see if there is a new on this year and playing with the ds4, or maybe having a vshg dualmodded.
The Mad Catz Fight Stick Alpha ($70, I think), but you have to swap the buttons & stick for Sanwa parts. Are there any PS4 sticks with only 6 main buttons?
I'm not a fan of having extra long rows, and would prefer not to add plugs into a bigger stick. My ideal situation would be if Sega made a PS4 Virtua Stick High Grade (really do prefer the classic Astro button layout), but that doesn't seem likely to happen...
I think what you're looking for is an oversized actuator. It'll give your stick a shorter throw distance.I'm looking to buy something like a smaller gate for my Sanwa jlf for better gate riding, but I'm not opposed to trying out a different brand altogether for my te2. How do crowns and hayabusas compare to any jlf mod offerings?
I have one, and I just don't like itI think what you're looking for is an oversized actuator. It'll give your stick a shorter throw distance.
Hey, this might be a silly question, but to anyone who owns this stick too, I bought the recent MadCatz Chun Li Street Fighter 5 TE2 stick. I haven't owned many sticks since I'm just starting to learn them, but this stick doesn't seem to have a small compartment that some other sticks I've seen/used to store the cord (such as past MadCatz TE sticks) when you're not playing. The small compartment/panel stores the cord cleanly so no cord is dangling.
Is there some quick and clean cord storage ability/option on the Chun Li TE2 stick that I'm not aware of (maybe use that bit of vecro on the cord to wrap the cord like a closed umbrella) or with this model, just use the good ol' wind the cord around the stick method?
Beat me to itIt's onside the stick on the right. Should have been where the cord was stored when you unpacked it. Wrap the cord up tight and stick it in that space.
So I got a Hori RAP V Hayabusa thinking "Oh well a square gate won't be THAT awkward feeling for KI I'm sure I'll get used to it." I was wrong. Is there any way to put an octagonal restrictor plate on it without having to drill through a bunch of plastic and mess with a bunch of stuff?
I meant drilling into the new gate. All videos/tutorials I've seen for installing an octagonal gate have involved drilling plastic away from the gate.Should be able to open it up from the bottom.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like it's sold out as of right now but I'll definitely keep an eye on it.There's a Kowal octagonal gate for the Hayabusa on focusattack.com for cheap.

I finally got a chance to use one this past weekend. My advice: AVOID.
Mini isn't even the word for this thing. It is literally an arcade stick for small children. The buttons are miniscule and of poor quality, the stick itself is also a piece of junk. I have somewhat large hands but even friends with normal sized hands had a problem using this thing because it was so tiny. Don't bother with the Mini unless you want a cheap PCB for a dual mod.
So it's not even suitable for a small-handed, super casual player that just wants to tinker with the stick experience at a low entry cost?
Build one! though I recommend screw in buttons on wood, not snapAnyone know where I can just purchase a wooden shell? I know foehammer sells them but i'm looking for more options. I want to put together a stick. I have parts from previous sticks and I have a Hori Fight Commander 4 that im going to gut.
For PC, I think you need to set your stick to PS3 Mode.Is it in PS3 or PS4 mode?
Is there a switch on the HRAP4 to make the stick read button presses as L3/R3 Clicks? Seems like there a bunch of toggalable switches on the side.
For PC, I think you need to set your stick to PS3 Mode.
Based on my experience with that stick (USF4 at my friend's house), you might have goofed. If you wanted a budget stick, I would have waited for the Mad Catz Fight Stick Alpha. At least you can easily mod that with Sanwa parts.I bought a hori mini stick 4. Did I goof?
