Finally updated!
As much as I love this art, it really bothers me that they're so inconsistent with the character names. They squeezed in some long names like Pikmin & Olimar and Wii Fit Trainer (although they made "WIIFIT" one word), but for other characters they used a shortened name, like "DK" for Donkey Kong and just "Rosalina" for Rosalina & Luma. Why??

Also, I just noticed "SUPER SMASH BROS FOR THE WiiU / Nintendo3DS" at the bottom and can't unsee that now. >.>

I hate to be that asshole critic, but that's just something that really bothers me. Far too often do I see some absolutely amazing art that's diminished by grammatical, punctuation, or spelling errors in the text present in the art. Dunno why it bothers me so much. I may not have very much artistic talent at all, but I do have great attention to detail when it comes to things like that. If I was making amazing art like that (if I could, lol), I'd make damn sure that it was free from any errors or inconsistencies. It seems like far too many artists don't give the same level of attention to the text in their art than the actual art itself. Unless those errors are deliberate, but...why? lol

EDIT: I just noticed that "MEGAMAN" is one word in the art, too. =/

Well, English is artist's second or third language.

Ah, well that's understandable for some things then, but I don't see how that would have any affect on the characters' names. They're clearly using the English names for the characters, but they're being inconsistent about it. Even if you're not completely familiar with the character names, they're all available on the official website (as are the titles of the games...which they also got incorrect).

That just reminds me. Why isn't there a poison element in Smash? It would work similar to whatever that flower thing is that indicates getting more damage gradually.

Just make the character look a bit purple and have some purple bubbles coming above the character. And of course make it temporary.

And why does Ivysaur not have a single Poison-type move?

Powson Powder is Ivy's Up Smash. Though it works nothing like the games. Remember it's that purple powder move that sends opponents sky damn high.

Edit: Powson. I'm not changing that.

Those fan-made series logos seem to be fairly pervasive, and it always bugs me when I see people using them in their select screen mockups. They're also used all over the Smash Bros. wikis. The Kirby and Pikmin ones are particularly off.

I was talking about the title of the games at the bottom of the image, "SUPER SMASH BROS FOR THE WiiU / Nintendo3DS," but yeah, those series icons are off a bit, too. I'm more forgiving about that, though. At least most of them are pretty near identical. It's not like we have official high resolution versions of all of those icons to use, anyway. Some of the vectorized icons that are used all over the place could be a bit more accurate, but that's not as bad to me as incorrect text that could have easily been fixed with much less effort.

Err, that's supposed to be Poison Powder??? What the hell?

At least make it purple and not some orange color.

I really want to believe the stork leak, but I can't imagine that any character still needs that much development, let alone still in alpha stages.

I'm on the same boat here, a lot of that stuff seems too good to be true.I am curious to see how big the DEV team is. Making a game for both platforms is not easy.

Yer crazy if ya think the stork leak is legit at all, guessing one thing right doesn't mean squat, I could guess Lor starcutter is a kirby stage is right but doesn't mean I have insider knowledge.

While I won't believe any leaks unless there is a very good reason to believe them (Wii Fit Trainer + others leak), some leaks do have some stuff that is false just so they won't be taken seriously by companies.

I've seen this happen a lot with Pokemon leaks.
Ivysaur's up smash is officially called "Explosive Flower" in Japanese, but I don't think that's a real Pokémon attack.
Is there a list of moves in English?

And yea, that isn't a real Pokemon attack.

Oh I see. Hmm. I'm labeling it under stun spore then.

So uh I know people question how Ridley's wings would work in Smash(as if Charizard and Pit don't exist) but does no one else like Ridley's smaller wings that always appear in the 2D Metroids? The big wings only came around in Prime, I think his little bee wings are so cool!

Is there a list of moves in English?
I don't think so. Maybe in the English strategy guide? All I know is that Sakurai officially names each and every attack and that full move lists are available in a bunch of Japanese strategy guides/magazine supplements.

The English Premiere Edition of the Brawl guide doesn't list any of the attacks other than the specials and Final Smash.

Glad to see an actual location from the series get a stage instead of another iteration of Pokemon Stadium. Was getting a bit sick of that.

Indeed, though my gut tells me we'll get a Pokémon Stadium III on the Wii U version, simply because of the lack of console Pokémon games to base a stage on. Or at least some sort of iteration of it. Arena Ferox looks to be the "Pokémon Stadium" for the 3DS version.

Smash has had 5 unique pokemon stages over 3 games, I would not be surprised if both versions got a Pokemon Stadium stage while the Wii U gets an additional Pokemon themed stage

An Awakening stage where you fight on
Grima's
back would have been fun.
Can't fight on the back of a character that's going to be playable! ;)

Yes, I know that's terrible logic, I saw my chance to make a Robin post and I took it. :P

Uh, you mean like Sylph Co. and Spear Pillar?
Spear Pillar, yes (though it wasn't the most faithful recreation). Silph Co., not so much... It was more based on the anime than the actual games.

Pokémon Trainer or Yoshi, which one will it be this week...?

...I don't think we're getting Pokémon Trainer for Pokémon Battle Trozei, sorry, lol.

Jiggs time, if anyone.
Why would Jigglypuff suddenly become a starter character (assuming she is coming back) after three games of being hidden? You can argue there's Luigi, but...that's kind of different. Luigi had a year dedicated to him...and he's Luigi. Jigglypuff is...Jigglypuff, lol.

I really, really doubt that either Mewtwo or Jigglypuff will be revealed before the game's release.
