First of all, who gives a damn if Prime's canon? Metroid Prime revived the Metroid series and the trilogy are some of the finest games ever put out by Nintendo. Smash Bros is about celebrating Nintendo's best, not canon.

Second, you haven't even played the Prime games and you're trying to argue Metroid Prime/Dark Samus isn't the main villain? She's the final boss in all three games. In Prime, Metroid Prime destroyed the Chozo and spread Phazon across Tallon IV for the Space Pirates to use, kickstaring events. In Corruption, Dark Samus controlled the Space Pirates and Leviathans and corrupted the hunters. The only game where it's arguable is Prime 2, but she's still the most visible foe and is the final boss instead of Emperor Ing.

Hmm, I would like it very much that they would hold Wii U features and stages back until after Super Smash Bros 3DS released to the public.

Ridley won't happen as a PoTD. He is too big. Either he will get a video intro, or nothing at all and will be discovered in some fashion when it launches.

I have two newcomers that I really wanted in the game. I am hoping that Ridley will be that third character that makes me go "I need this now".

At this point I'm not even too worried about "my" characters making it into the game. I mean, I'd love to see Ridley and Jimmy T., but the newcomers I'm most excited for are always the ones I didn't know I wanted.

A lot of the newcomers so far have been pretty good. I think there's maybe one I don't care for at all, and even then they have a good deal of redeeming qualities.

The only newcomer I wanted that I thought had a chance to be in was Little Mac, and he got in, but I agree in the sense that WFT and Greninja were characters I never knew I wanted. Really looking forward to these two, probably more than Little Mac since I don't really like the direction they took for him.

I'd still love a Rhythm Heaven character and another Wario and F-Zero character, but I'm completely content with who we got.

Just pure speculation. I would imagine that they are cramming everything as they can until they hit the deadline. Once they hit deadline, so they need to give translators enough time to working on remaining additions. That would make sense with three weeks delay.

Haha. I really want a Rhythm Heaven character and always thought it was a pipe dream, but the Gematsu leak got me really hopeful.

I don't really think it's debunked, and with the whole Sneaky Spirit thing I think a character is likely. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason Wario hasn't been revealed yet is because they're saving him for a dual reveal with one. That said, I'd be OK if there isn't a playable character.

I think Sakurai would do that in a "stage boss" montage, or just leave it for people to discover.

It would be really, really weird for Sakurai to tease him in a direct and then reveal his role in a PotD. Don't you think? You usually build tension toward a climax, not a nadir.

I had completely forgotten about Kiefer voicing someone in Mortal Kombat. That'll be interesting if it ends up happening.

Snake is trying to sneak his way into all the top selling fighting games.

Talk about a downgrade :(

But I've never been a fan of Motral Kombat gameplay or aesthetics. Good for those people I guess. I would have expected Kratos. Then again, Snake isn't confirmed for that game, just possible now.
