Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 12: Gwah, hah. Welcome to the Bowser's game.

That's a long, roundabout way of saying "I don't agree with your opinion, and that makes it dumb! Now that I've said that, you'll see how much better my opinion obviously is and you'll HAVE to agree with me!"

Give me a break. This is not the first time you've tried to pull this with me. Your opinion is no more or less important than anyone else's... someday you'll figure that out.

Some people just revel in being angry or negative, I guess. Seriously, nothing about me expressing my opinion threatens your right to have yours. Now can you please keep the discussion flowing instead of finding reasons to attack my opinions? Thanks.

I'm going to say that I over-reacted somewhat there and read it as you stating that the game is outright dull and less interesting without items rather than the game is dull and less interesting [for you] without items, I'm so used to that bullshit on smashboards that I just default to that attitude now.

Also I don't know/care if I've "tried to pull this" with you before, I was replying to what I (apparently thought) you'd said then and there, I don't have a vendetta against you, I don't even know who you are or recall anything I've said to you.

You guys really should just ignore the hard core smash fans who cry that the game is not being developed with their ideal way to play in mind, really makes the thread a lot more readable when its not going off on waifu or other weirdness

I'm not really seeing how that's an apt comparison at all. If Mario Kart had some kind of story mode and introduced a recurring antagonist throughout the whole series? Sure, he's now a major Mario villain, just like Fawful or Captain Syrup.

Master Hand's not a villain since his appearances in Smash don't divulge any information about his "character." And the one time Smash has had a story he only played a bit part. He's an iconic recurring boss fight, taking a lot of inspiration from Nintendo's stable of "Hand and/or Face bosses" but nothing more than that.
I don't consider story to be an important factor. Mario games have almost no story, but Bowser is obviously a major villain. Anyway, I am fine with us disagreeing.

Yeah, different strokes. I was just wondering what you had meant by major villain when it's apparently open to interpretation.

Last time you said this we got Metaknight..

VETERAN TONIGHT!

IT'S WARIO TIME.

Hyyyyyyyyyyyype

I'm going with item (which is a slightly cheat prediction since technically assists also count as items).

Though looking through the past few weeks, stages, items and modes have been quite common now.

Yeah, I don't understand that sentiment either. The Kremlings have no bearing one way or the other on K. Rool's playability -- they're DK enemies, not K. Rool enemies. The Underworld Army enemies aren't hinting at Medusa or Hades, Mettaur isn't hinting at Dr. Wily, and so on.
At least in the case of the the Polar Bear & the Sneaky Spirit, they come from franchises with no announced playable character as of yet (one of which has a veteran duo that are most likely returning).

I'm all for items as well, but I would like to see stages as well since there are several franchise that are lacking with stages.

its my birthdays smashgaf and i am, aptly, a bit smashed

my prediction is absolutely fucking nothing tomorrow

i hope the drunk one is more correct than you sober lot

Well I prefer stage reveals to character reveals so I'd also like to see more. Also since Sakurai doesn't really go over them one can still feel fresh when we finally get the game despite knowing of their existence.

I'd like to say the next stage is the Wii U Pokémon X/Y Elite Four stage but I have a feeling it'll be something completely different. I just want to see how long he can stretch the "mystery" for.

I'd rather have Emolga.
No joke, Emolga is my second most wanted newcomer now that Lucina is confirmed. (Pheonix Wright is #1) I know his chances are low, but that ain't stopping my hype train.
- We're giving an obviously fake leak that claims Eggman is playable serious attention.
Eggman not good enough for you? Try this leak on for size:

New Characters in Starting Roster
Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina & Luma, Little Mac, Greninja, Mii Fighters, Robin, Shulk

Unlockable New Characters
Palutena ... Beat Classic mode with Pit on highest intensity or play Smash mode 86 times.
Lucina ... Play Smash Run with Marth 5 times or play Smash mode 20 times.
Dixie kong ... Beat Classic mode with Diddy Kong on any difficulty without continuing or play Smash mode 50 times.
Magolor ... Play on stage "Another Dimension" (WiiU only) 50 times or play Smash mode 150 times.
Paper Mario ... Play on stage "Paper World" (both on WiiU & 3DS) 50 times or play Smash mode 125 times.
Mewtwo ... Play Smash mode 500 times.
Diskun ... Play Smash mode 1250 times or beat All-Star mode with all charcters in starting roster on highest difficulty without continuing.
Mega Man ... Play Smash mode 200 times.
Pac-Man ... Play Smash mode 250 times.

Of course its fake since its saying that characters on the website are unlocks, which as I've said many times is a flat out lie even if everyone is dilusioned into thinking that they revealed some unlockables already. :P

A confirmation of Ridley as a boss only would be good.
This, I wanna see the massive meltdowns from the Ridley fans.

That reminds me, what would Boss Ridley do in the Pyrosphere stage? My guess, pierce players with his tail & spit out fireballs (or just fire). I have a gut feeling he'll also fly around, targeting certain players, maybe whoever's winning.

Wait, I forgot the second comment

"This isn't Pyrosphere though, you might be saying. And you'd be right, Ridley's back as an Assist Trophy this time"

Occasionally attack people and use the purple things on the side of the stage to tilt the stage.

Didn't know rabbits celebrated birthdays.

Happy b-day drunkenness I suppose?

I thought you were going to write "This isn't Pyrosphere though, you might be saying. And you'd be right, you've been inside of Ridley all along"
