I wonder if Greninja will have any alts? I assume Pit will get a Dark Pit alt. Can't really think of any thing else he could use as an alt.

He already has his shiny skin (which is more than Charizard and Lucario can claim)... so there isn't much else for Greninja to use that's canon.
That's a good point since shiny greninja wouldn't really be an alt. Maybe they can go the Project M route and just make something up?
My ideal choice would be NES Marth, but the Dark Mage outfit could also be an acceptable substitute.

ZSS' ending cutscene screenshot in Classic Mode should totally use one of these costumes to recreate an ending from Zero Mission or Fusion.

Still trying to keep my expectations in check regarding how many alternate costumes there will be, but man I hope there are a bunch. These are super neat. They'd make for some pretty cool unlockables, but I don't think that's happening.

Great costume changes I love it! I figured if Zero Suit Samus got something it would be one of these, only for some reason I never really expected it as a real possibility. I guess because of all the skin shown but when I really think about it, why wouldn't it be ok?
I wouldn't be surprised if the images and captions were written months ago, anyway.
Considering the "...that's what I told my staff", it seems like he was just relating an anecdote from the last days of development, not saying development had not yet finished. Perhaps the translation's to blame?
Though that makes certain things like Viridi appearing on the day of that Palutena leak suspect...unless he was behind it all along?

To be fair, the original JP post didn't specify a time frame by date. He just mentioned that the costume itself was proposed and created late in the game's development cycle. To what date, exactly, that "late" refers to is up for debate, but I think it's safe to say early summer, perhaps.

Yeah, that was posted last night, but I didn't see the part about SpotPass announcements. Hopefully it's something neat. Maybe photo contests, home run challenges, etc, like Brawl had. HOPEFULLY DLC announcements, too. Free or paid, whatever. I assume streetpass battle is VS opponent AI, would be neat.

It's clearly based off Zero mission and *NOT* fusion, but there is a fusion RECOLOR or the Zero Mission Suit. Edit: I take it back, the Fusion suit doesn't have the 'Window', so it is 2 different skins! My mistake!

What a whammy of an update.
- More alt costumes than previously thought.
- ZSS designed by a female (at least this costume, if not the entire thing)
- This costume was a last minute effort, implying that costumes were not a huge priority, so we may not get THAT many.
- Brinstar from melee is back on 3DS.
- Costumes are on both systems, not just Wii U (which is where we've seen them all).
- Makes me wonder if this was made due to fan feedback after the april direct, or if this is something they wanted to do anyway.
