I think Sakurai brought it back but he simplified it by giving the characters the steam visuals, so basically they would save a lot of time by not giving the damages visual to all gears and equipments.

Plus battle damage, especially for cartoonier characters would look pretty awkward for the style SSB4 seems to be going for. Doesn't gel as well as it would with Brawl's 'gritty' style.

Isn't Xenoblade X's protagonist a custom character? And besides, Xenoblade is the first game in the series and one of the most acclaimed RPGs of the last generation. I'm sure X will be good as well, but the original will always be seen as more important/influential.

Like I suggested a few pages ago, Elma seems like she could be interesting if they pull off the switching between dual sword and dual guns. She is the only other character we know anything about in the game, still not alot, and she could be used for promotion for Xenoblade X like Roy was for his Fire Emblem game.

Well I mean Elma in addition to Shulk. Shulk should definitely be in if the Xenoblade series gets a rep.

I finally got around to playing some Project M. IDK if it's cause I haven't played a Smash Bros game in a while but it played like the same speed as Brawl to me.

Compare PM Falcon with Brawl Falcon. In particular try running around and jumping. The difference is extremely noticeable.
