I preorder stuff near release. Also I don't think they've announced UK bundles.
I preordered Smash when I picked up Mario Kart. The bundle wasn't a thing yet though, so I'll have to fix my preorder (and this time remember to add the 3DS game) next time I end up in a Gamestop. I'm not sure when that will be. The release of Ultra SFIV, maybe. Maybe even until Hyrule Warriors... I can't think of anything in July.
Nah, gonna walk in day 1 or week 1 to get it.

That's what I was thinking. Adult link has a fairy taunt as well, so it would make sense that toon link would, too. Maybe they ran out of time and couldn't finish the fairy and/or her animations.

Yea in my city that doesn't work for me since my gamestop never orders a bunch if wii u stuff. So they only get a few things in and it's first come first served.

My mail service is very late out here. I use amazon prime and don't get stuff till the early evening. Faster for me to walk into a store and pick it up in the morning.
Guaranteed release day pick up. I've been burned by online retailers shipping stuff late for me to play lately.

Amazon dented my Bravely Default box. Why these games aren't shipped in its own box and not bubble wrapped envelopes I don't know.

We dont order that stuff. It's based on sales and preorders.
Sorta hard to justify buying the bundle when I'm going digital for the game

Im sure it was probably pointed out sometime before, but I just noticed on the amiibo screen there's a "Collect Gift" option.
Perhaps you can obtain gifts if you say...take your Amiibo to a friend's game and play it then take it back? Kind of like a manual Streetpass?
Speaking of which, I'm interested to see if they'll have any really neat Streetpass features. Maybe a copy of your Mii to battle against, or a saved Amiibo character or swapping stickers/trophies?

I always thought it was supposed to be like the little scene that happened every time you changed the wind direction where a gust of wind blows past his face.
I rewatched it and man, link is totally in camouflage. It wasn't until today that I noticed He and Yoshi were in that scene.

Street Pass from 3DS is my bet. You can send powered up items on Kid Icarus and it has pretty much the same icon.
Yeah, the bag does look similar to the KI:U streetpass bag, BUUUUT that's also a screen from Wii U.
It could be streetpass > amiibo 3DS > amiibo Wii U
I assume there are other ways to get gifts, though.
But that's specifically the amiibo screen. It almost implies to me that it's a gift that is tied to the amiibo. Maybe a way of transferring equipment/trophies from game to game.
