I definitely agree that his specials are his weakest aspect, no question. Metal Blade is slow and doesn't do as much damage as it feels like it should, and is rather easy to catch and use back against Mega Man. Leaf Shield is only useful in specific situations, but can be quite dangerous in those limited situations (when it is charged with projectiles, like Game & Watch's Oil Spill). Crash Bomb is actually okay, but it's slow to launch and requires that you not go in for a follow-up attack on that opponent (lest it get stuck back onto Mega Man in the process), and its lacking 10% damage had me wondering if it's worth the effort of using it. At least Rush Coil is a great recovery!

And yes, I definitely felt that playing Mega Man in Smash felt amazingly similar to just playing a Mega Man game. That's one of my favorite things about him, no question.

You'll definitely agree with Max's video, as he pretty much states everything you just said. Something else he brings up (that I agree with) is that it's nice that Mega Man has a learning curve and isn't crazy OP, as then everyone would use him and he'd lose some of his appeal.
 
Speaking of Peach/Daisy/Rosalina thing, how sad/funny would it be if Nintendo decides to slowly let everyone forget about Daisy? I mean in the 3DS street pass puzzle picture "Nintendo Starlet" Daisy wasn't even part of the group and somehow got outrank by Pauline.
 
I'm thinking each amiibo is sug. MSRP $15.99. Hey, do you guys think "amiibo" is supposed to sound like "amigo?" If so, what's up with the "bo?"

Yeah it's hilarious that pauline of all people got in over daisy...Tho she does have historical seniority over the other starlets.

Ah, I hadn't considered that... that's a good point! I too would rather he be used only be people who really want to learn him and not just used by everyone because he's OP, like Kratos and Raiden in PlayStation All-Stars for example.

Yeah, I always thought that was weird too. At least put Daisy in alongside all the other starlets... I like Daisy, I hope they aren't planning on phasing her out. But the fact that both she and Baby Daisy are in Mario Kart 8 makes me think she's probably safe for now.

Yes, always. I never get why people do direct conversions. It never works out.

1. Economies in the US and UK are different. Different wage, different cost of living so different prices.
2. Our prices are always post-tax of 20%. American prices are always pre-tax.

Rosalina doesn't seem to need seniority to get in the spotlight though lol. Seems to me Nintendo is trying to get Rosalina to be part of the regular crew of Mario & friends. At least she's well like compared to every new friend Sonic gets lol

She's a creation of Koizumi, who currently works on most of the new Mario games that don't have "New" in their name. That would probably be why she's so frequent now.
 
Hmm, those Amiibos are pricey. I thought they'd do them in group packs or something...we'll see!

And I thought Amiibo was a portmanteau of "amigo" and "aibo" (Japanese for partner).
 
Mega Man seems like a very matchup dependent character.

Looking at Maximillian's video... I think he underestimates the possible utility of the pellets. A disjointed normal with that much range is more a spacing tool than a damage racker.

Yeah I heard about that. I remember Koizumi added her to 3D World (or was it some other mario game he worked on?) and Miyamoto was wondering why they adding her but simply let it be.
