Sorry I should have said anything from the Mother series. Moonside would be one of my first choices, as it would have a really unique look among the stages.

Anyway, Mario = Ryu was the only comparison I ever saw. The rest only really work on a superficial level. I'd also say Greninja is closer to Ibuki than Guy.

I agree. Initially I wasn't crazy about it but after playing through Metroid a few years back it really clicked with me. Sounds just like Yuzo Koshiro's work in Beyond Oasis too.

Now if only I could make peace with the jazzy Revenge of Meta Knight song...

I assume if Lucas is back Smash 3DS would get a Mother 3 stage (maybe New Pork City) and the WiiU would get a Mother 2/Earthbound stage. It'll never happen but I'd love a Gigyas boss stage that is just a red swirling background that randomly hurts you and has an invisible final destination platform you fight on so you can walk too far, fall off and die.
