I hope to meet you on the battlefield then! I'm hoping to go for both of those as well; I'm sure MKX will be chosen and remain hopeful Smash 4 will be competitively viable.

If it's out in time, MKX will surely get rid of that Injustice of a game... Injustice ;)
Smash 4 will at least make it to next year's EVO as a test run I'm sure. Nintendo will push to have it there as well. Hopefully it's hype to play and watch so it can stay as well.

If not in pools, we'll have to play friendlies next year :3

Awww yeah, bet's done now, and overcrowded Chibiterasu is back

EDIT: Damn, might try to make this transparent, a white block doesn't look good since I've switched to dark-GAF

Haha, I liked Injustice, but I'd rather Netherrealms be working on the Mortal Kombat series. And X looks so good.

But, yes, in one year, you're on. :)

We can tell which people didn't play Mii Plaza games :P

In any case I don't get what the caption meant. In Find Mii/II, the Dark Emperor always gives the same status debuff.

Well I guess it has to do with different shirt colors and effects in the Mii Plaza game. But as changing the short color wouldnt make any sense its rather the evil empreror who will be in charge of changing effects...but what if the evil emperor is playable? Will Alfonzo take his place?

I'm not as bummed by filler or mildly interesting Smash updates, now that Hyrule Warriors has kicked into gear revealing new stuff on a semi-regular basis.

I can't wait to see Fi's trailer or Ball-and-Chain Link, hopefully sometime this week. Scratches that "new character" itch.

I dislike the clash mechanic, and it pops up twice a match usually. Just kills the flow completely to me :( Other than that the game was alright with me. I used Harley I think.

Yasssss, train hard ;)

This is the part where I wish everyone would pretend it's not even there and discuss something totally different instead of crowding around it like that's not the most suspicious thing in the world.

So show of hands, how many people here are going to be watching Melee @ EVO this weekend?

Will watch Friday. Sadly have an international flight Saturday, so I'll probably watch when it's done

Friday and saturday? Sure. Friday is free and Saturday I'll just have Brazil-Argentina on TV and EVO on my TV (or do the regular matches start earlier than GF? Need to check the timetable). Sunday tho?

Nah, Watching my country have a good shot at the World Championship > EVO Grand Finals. Really unfortunate timespot for EVO here :(

I'll watch Grand Finals on monday instead :D

Captain Falcon Mii today lol.

Pic of the day. Just like in the original game, the Dark Emperor can cause status changes based on a fighter's color. Red types generally get powered up. On a different subject, the Mii Fighter is wearing a Mii Force Helmet.

That outfit looks sick

...this is kinda a confusing update. So the Dark Emperor actually helps the fighters rather than hinder them like we expected? And he buffs players "Just like in the original game" (this never happened in Find Mii even slightly) based on their color? But "Red types generally get powered up", does that mean that there are different buffs for different color shades? How many buffs are there? How deep does this crazy Emperor-induced rabbit hole go?!

If this means you can wear your Mii Plaza Helmets on your Mii in Smash:
-Why are there gloves and boots, too for the Mii Force outfit all of a sudden?
-What about Wii U? I'm still waiting to be able to sync my Mii Plaza helmets (and Mii Plaza save in case I lose my 3DS-save) on my Wii U to use it on Miiverse :D
-And most importantly: can I use the Virtual Boy Helmet?

Also the first sentence makes no sence. It's been a while since I got my final Find Mii helmet, but I don't recall the Dark Emperor ever doing that. Also red Mii's magic was fire Attack. Buff was Orange / Pink / Green afaik.

The wording is confusing, I think it was meant to say something like "Like in the original game a fighter's colour has an effect on them. This time the Dark Emperor gives a status change to the fighters based on their colour for example red types generally get powered up"

The term generally is a bit confusing, but I suspect that the effects may have a bit of a random element to them so colours don't have the same outcome every time, but the example of red may have greater odds for a power buff than other effects.

Of course this would mean every fighter would need a texture swap to reflect every (Mii?) colour. If they are basing it of Miis then that would require a minimum of 12 colours per fighter. Unless they've changed how outlines work and coloured lines can be used in non team matches as well (notice how only Villager has a red line).

Saying red types "generally" get powered up sounds pretty broad. Calling it now; one color category gets "generally" weakened.

Very roughly... (someone come to the rescue if they can do better)

"全てのやみの王"は、原作どおり、ファイターの色に応じた状態変化を起こすことがあります。
Based on the original, there is a change of status based on the fighter's color.

赤いふちどりはおおむねパワーアップ。
A red outline is generally/roughly a power up

Looks more like Masked Man than Falcon

Gives me hope for my boy to get a spot in Smash after all!

EDIT: After looking at the JP, I think Sakurai is referencing the fact that each Mii has different powers depending on the color of their clothing (e.g. red = fire, yellow = sandstorm, white = light), so he has implemented status changes based on the color of the character in Smash as an homage to the color-based differences in Find Mii.

This has to be the theme for that stage.....I like it though! :D

Find Mii 2 Music - Final Boss Theme

I gotta buy the other plaza games, and unlock all the paths in Find Mii 2.
Talking of Streetpass Plaza music, I remember saying Platinum Beach from Mii Force is a favourite of mine and with the helmet being shown it now has a chance.

Though with two tunes per 3DS stage it is a slim chance, unless we adds it to the Wii U version.

I honestly suspect the two tunes to be the two final boss themes, the one you posted and the first one.

Maybe the power will be based on the color of the Mii you 'rescue' by defeating the Dark Emperor. Remember, other pictures of the stage have shown a Mii in a cage on this stage.

We can now create any character that wears a helmet!

At least we know that 3DS Miis get to keep their helmets.

Actually, that's an interesting question: Is the Mii using the officially currently-set hat, or are there just a few hats available as alt forms within the games (whether they're formally unlocked or otherwise)
