Yea man totally agree with you. I'm still hyped for the new Borderlands! it's been awhile since I wanted so many different games! But I'll get Smash and BL no matter what.
 
Am I the only one who's bothered by all the Project M match making/discussing going on in here? Surely IRC would be a far better venue for this than a message board thread dedicated not to Project M but discussing the upcoming titles. Not to mention it's kind of annoying seeing all that "ha ha that was awesome" comments completely separated from the fights that warranted such a reaction. It just doesn't feel like this is the right place for it.

I was also bothered by it, then I just succumbed to it after suggesting a new thread and people kept doing it anyways.

I couldn't have said it any better. I love Lucas infinitely more as a Mother character and as a Smash character, but he and Ness both hold a special place in my heart. <3

I'm a little sad because it will be the first Smash release where I won't be able to play with my brother. (I'm in Japan, but he's back in the US.) I guess the upside is that I get it a month earlier than most people, but still. :(

My first order of business will be to clear Classic Mode with my Smash mainstays (Peach, Pit, hopefully Lucas) and my fave newcomers (Little Mac, Greninja, hopefully Palutena), and then move on to events and the like.
After that, I'll be heading to Press Start 2014 to hear a ton of Smash series music and then get Sakurai to autograph my copy of the game. :D

I'm apologized that you are annoyed by the Project M topic that are recurred here, but instead of posting a complaints, you could post a link to Project M OT and ask us to move the discussion over there. I guess you would have to get used to those comments in Super Smash Bros 4 OT because I know some people would post those kind of reactions, like people did in Mario Kart 8.

Since we have few complaints about Project M matchmaking and reactions that have been recurring in this thread, so I would strongly suggest everyone to post their matchmaking and reactions in different thread.

Even though I'm participating in it, I agree that it would be better suited to it's own thread. Maybe we can move over I the project M thread or make a new one.

Yeah, just download it, put it in and go to Stage Builder and it launches. You can actually still install it via homebrew too I believe, that stuff still works on the Wii mode on Wii U.

Regarding the GameCube controller thing I ended up buying a Mayflash adapter for I thiiiink $15. However I'd wait and see how the GameCube adapter Nintendo's putting out works, if it's compatible with Wii stuff as well that would be awesome and much cheaper.
 
Isn't there also a smash community thread? That or the project m OT would be better suited for Project M match making discussion then the smash for 3ds/wiiu discussion thread

I'd like to get more into Fire Emblem, but the only games I've played are Radiant Dawn, Awakening, and Shadow Dragon.

Like I just said I've only played three games in the series so I don't know everything about it, but I'm curious - are Castle Siege and Coliseum based on any specific locations in the series, or just generic stages combined with some elements from the series? They both look very cool, but if I were more into the series I'd probably be a little bummed that since Marth and Roy's introduction in Melee the only specific location to be used as a stage was Arena Ferox.

Castle Siege is just a mish-mash of Fire Emblem stage tropes, although long ago I think some fans pointed out similarities to castle/flag designs from Path of Radiance and FE4.

The Coliseum is based on the optional Arena battles found in many of the titles.

But I agree, it adds nothing to this thread (which is usually something that is often complained about).

The only information they gave me was that they worked in animation and sound. He gave me a list of various information, and I quote,

"The final newcomers yet to be announced are Ridley, Dixie Kong, Chrom, Shulk, Chorus Trio, and Isaac. Mewtwo is returning."

He said that to prove his legitimacy, Wario is to be publicly announced before the end of next week. He also said that he was connected with the user on the Brawl board who had leaked Brawl&#8217;s character roster.

Keep in mind, I have no idea as to whether this information is legitimate.&#8221;

Part 3 Wario on Miiverse Update Soon (Again)

*rough translation*

Hello all, I am directly involved with the development of the next Super Smash Bros. game and I'd like to tell the fans of the game. First off, the assist trophies. Ghirahim from the Legend of Zelda is an assist trophy and he attacks with his sword and he's very fast. We also have Fawful from the Mario series as an Assist Trophy. He attacks with his Energy Ball attack which involves sending energy orbs through portals placed on the stage.

We also have Mad King Gangrel from Fire Emblem Awakening as an Assist Trophy. He taunts the players before running on the stage summoning lightning strikes through his Levin Sword. Next up are the characters. First off, there will be four unannounced newcomers which are secretive. I will say that one of them is a highly requested villain, the other is a Melee veteran and the last two will remain a secret. Chrom is to be revealed during a Nintendo Direct in August is what I have learned. Shulk is in the game and will be a starter character.

Unfortunately, Snake, Squirtle and Ivysaur will not be returning. King K. Rool is also not a playable character in the game, sadly. Wario will be revealed before the 18th of July 2014. That's all I can share as of right now.

I hope that you realized that Project M discussions are more likely to happens here occasionally since we are moving our matchmaking and reactions to other threads. In other word, I'm saying that Project M wouldn't be completely out of this thread.

Well the first one is BS as we already know Olimar's FS wasn't changed, unless they changed it from the E3 demo to final release

Of course, Big jokes. Who wouldn't know that you weren't joking. :P I felt that it's my duty to reminded people that Project M wouldn't be completely out of the thread for good.
 
Looking at the other two leaks I smell BS as well

The second is the biggest pile of "oh I didn't make it up my friend did" which is almost always a sure tell sign someone is lying.

The third if someone who was really working on Smash was going to risk his job to leak information without any evidence they'd just simply reveal the full roster after all why bother to keep things a secret if you're already leaking stuff?
