I'm not salty, its just that people doing dumb shit pisses me off. What Nintendo SHOULD have done is tell people to tune into EVO (or at least the top 8 for Melee on Sunday) for some awesome Smash action and then with the extra eyes on the event, BAM - NEWCOMER!

To be fair, we still don't know if they are doing that or not. It's not likely, but still.
This might be their way of announcing something in the wake of all the Smash hype, but separating themselves from Melee. In all honesty, they might consider it mixed messaging to make a demonstration during a Melee tournament when their new game isn't exactly trying to be Melee.
