fired up Xenoblade before I remembered my TV's speakers are shot. I was about to turn it off before I remembered that the Gamepad outputs audio...A set of headphones later and I'm good to go.
Oh man, you just reminded me that my laptop's speakers and headphone port all got busted a couple of weeks ago, I'll have to find another computer to bum off of before midnight hits. Crossing my fingers that Mum eases off of her workaholic tendencies, or else I won't be able to watch the reveal live... oh well!

Luckily I'd say the big EA game that has a history with Nintendo is Sim City* which is already represented with Dr Wright.
*Though technically this is from before EA owned the series.

For some reason I have a feeling that swimming was only removed because there's not going to be an SSE-like adventure mode this time around, and so it's not as necessary. Also I approve of swimming being taken out because Sonic being able to swim is heresy.

To be fair, on the front page it has an announcement for the Character Reveal. So yeah. Kinda not needed to make a POTD for it.

It's probably something as simple as he likes Rayman and Nintendo and Ubi are reasonably close. Remember Nintendo does want to improve third party relations.

Hmm apparently Sakurai decided on the whole roster very early in development, so I don't think he would lock out Rayman because of "delay". So... very unlikely xD

If Rabbids actually made it into Smash, I wouldn't even be mad. I mean, it's a terrible choice (possibly the worst in the series history), but their inclusion would be so fucking stupid and out there that I'd probably just laugh it off.

It would be fun if they decide to not include Rayman Trophy in 3DS - and stating:
We decided to not include Rayman in 3DS yet, because Wii U is releasing later this year and we want to release the trophy for them both at the same time, so it will be added to the 3DS as soon as Smash for Wii U will be released!

Not quite sure what they'd do with the Rabbids if that chan post posted earlier is true. I thought they were...er...charming when there was the hype after the E3 where the Wii was announced but since then they've just annoyed me.
The whole coinciding with today's Potd and a surprise announcement does raise the question if the two arr linked since the Rayman trophy is a big deal and if there's going to be another update later then I'd imagine that pic isn't going to be up for long on the main page.
Liked Rayman as a kid and have his newer games on my backlog of stuff to play but never would have expected him or a related character to make it in to Smash. I thought it would stop at Pac-Man. Maybe it's just a trophy and nothing else but I don't see why they'd collaborate and just leave it at that. Guess we'll find out in a couple of hours. I'm gonna have to log myself off at work to catch some hype.

the reason I am hyped about Shulk is not because I like him much I LOVE Xenoblade and Shulk would mean a Xenoblade Stage and the MUSIC!!! Sakurai loves epic music

What if that spoiler is Shulk's final smash? I think that a proper stage should just fly through all of the overworld.

PlayStation All-Stars. That way, no matter how good/bad Smash 4 is, it'll still be an improvement over the last game you played.

I would rather it be a stage made of them both and floating platforms moving around it
if not platforms one of the ships you take from late game
