None, I'd say. He said in the PotD showing off the Ray Gun that he takes extra-special care to make the weapons look as little like real guns as possible. And, honestly, I think we're better for it, at least with Snake: having a grenade as his neutral special is much more interesting than a gun.

why are we considering replacing SOLID Snake with an Advanced Wars character, even if Snake is cut I'd consider it a waste to just give an AW character Snake's moveset and call it a day.

Andy is basically Luffy.

The big counter-argument to an AW rep I've always seen is that the COs can't fight because they don't in their own series. Sami is the counter-counter-point in that she's the infantry specialist & almost all official artwork of her depicts her carrying a weapon of some kind. Thus it is more believe that she is capable of personal combat than any other CO.
