I got Project X Zone today...
It's a pretty brainless game...basically like a Musou RPG, but man, the fanservice is top-notch. Makes me wish Nintendo got in on it and we got some of the humanoid, lesser known dudes in Project X Zone. Like Takamaru and Prince Sable would've been a perfect fit.
But man, it's one of the most misogynistic games I've ever played as well...

Snake has some of the strongest tilts in the game. He's also the third heaviest character in the game.

With Sonic, Megaman and Pacman, I disagree. The game will be fine without Snake. People will whine for a few months and then it'll just be brought up once in a while. Just like with Mewtwo and Roy.

yeah the game is super brainless but i like seeing all those attacks flying off in my screen

I loved that game. You will too. Until one of the very late stages where you will just give up and pretend that the game ended there.
Keep playing though, its worth it until the stage I mentioned.

Honestly, I would so rather have Simon Belmont a hundred times over Snake. MGS barely has any Nintendo presence at all & they censored him too much just to make him feasible. Castlevania's been primarily a Nintendo based franchise since the beginning & Simon's been in Captain N, so there'd be the reunion with Pit & Mega Man.
Plus they took out Shiek's whip, gotta have some sort of whipping fighter in this, right?

My favorite Project X Zone moment so far was when that one Vashyron guy appeared.
I don't even know what game he's fucking from, but I totally laughed when he did that pose I remember seeing in that goofy Youtube video that's always posed in "akward video game moments" thread.
But holy fuck, the OC characters are sooooo bad. I don't know if the localizers are screwing with me though when one of the character bios for that fox-girl mentions how "she's an otaku who likes anime, manga, video games, and the internet".

Still making my way through the first AW. It's interesting and has a lot of mechanics but the only srpg I really love is FE. Sami would be great though!

I ended the game about 3 chapters away from the last. All fan-service, no substance. Smash on the other hand...I loved that game. You will too. Until one of the very late stages where you will just give up and pretend that the game ended there.
Keep playing though, its worth it until the stage I mentioned.

I still can't believe BITF is ending. I was really looking to forward to seeing what he'd do with the new characters.
It's funny he mentions he was running out of ideas since I felt the comic was just as fun as ever. Of course, he know better than me on that front. I wish him luck.

Does it bother anyone else that Wii Fit Trainer is the only character that didn't get unique artwork for display on the Wii U cover? Instead they just slapped her in-game render on. Looks really off to me for some reason, and I can't shake it.

Coming from a huge MG fan that was concerned about this upon his initial announcement, no they didn't. At all.
It bothers me more that there's only two newcomers on there.
Same here, only thing that they didn't do was add a cigarette for Snake. PM did it which was a nice touch.
If they decide to go with Naked/Big Boss instead of Solid, censorship is even less of an issue, as the taser, electronic cigarette and EZ gun are abstracted enough to not drive up the rating.
It bothers me more that she's on the cover at all honestly, over characters like Little Mac, Mega Man, and Greninja. Guess it kind of makes sense though because it's got "Wii" right in the title. She just looks so boring. Maybe the fact that she didn't get new artwork doesn't help.
I prefer the 3DS art myself.
I think an Advance Wars character would be great; it's a series that was loved for awhile before fading away, so it'd be nice to see it make a comeback. Plus, the characters are all pretty fun, cool, and memorable! I'd expect Andy, but Sami's a bit cooler in my opinion. Plus, I think some're wanting her because she's been leaked to be in Project M down the road; they already are anticipating her in a Smash game.
However, if we get another explosive-based character and/or Konami rep (due to the Hudson buy-out), I've been wanting to see this guy since SSB64; I think he'd fit in just fine.

On a side note, I watched that linked IGN videopeople were saying demonstrated the lack of landing lag in the Wii U version and the thing that stood out most to me (to the point of forgetting my original intent for watching) is Pit's new reach. Jesus that character got buffed to high heaven with the extension on his blade.

Yup the cig is pretty much the only thing missing. It was a nice touch in PM for sure, but I can certainly live without it.
And oh my god that would be incredible if they could pass off the E-cig, hahah. Highly doubt it though.

On Konami/Hudson 3rd party front, how about Master Higgins? Can throw an axe, can ride a skateboard as a dash of sorts, can use dinos for attacks, and he has a pterodactyl for recovery.

Good catch. It looks more like a large bow now with the blades being longer.
He's a veteran, so he's safe; he got grandfathered in before Sakurai added this rule.
And hell yeah to Master Higgins; I played so much Adventure Island growing up! I fear his dinosaur buddies might be too complicated to be part of a moveset, but they're definitely a must. I just assumed nobody remembered that guy.
