Already on OT 11? Time sure flies.

I doubt any big newcomers will come out of SDCC. That surprise they were hinting at might just be a celebrity tournament and getting them to pimp the game. Long as the footage is solid, I'd still watch!

One of the main reasons I don't like PM, since Wario would be my go-to character. The fact they also changed the obvious playstyle of characters such as him annoys me to no end.

I feel the same when it comes to Lucas....I loved his style in brawl. Yet P:M was meh to me.

So if Shulk gets in what are the most likely music tracks they'll play on the Xenoblade stage? I haven't played it yet (backlog), but I wanna know what most people think the most standout tracks are?

Hopefully beyond Xenoblade, they'll look at their (admittedly fairly small) not represented RPG series and we'll get something cool from Magical Vacation or Magical Starsign. I guess Advance Wars and Custom Robo would also suit with the stage thematically.

Ya know BRINGMESMASH Twitter.

Here is an evidence that they are bringing the 3DS to people.

I'm surprised there's barely any new footage so far, I need muh frame analysis' of the landing lag to see if it has been reduced.

Maybe they are still at Con. It take a time for people to upload the videos.

I've been wondering. Since Nintendo is still printing new copies of Smash Bros Brawl, that must mean they still have access to the Konami license to some degree. It's not like what happened with Marvel vs Capcom 3 where they had to stop sales because Capcom's Marvel license expired.

Would it be reasonable to expect a Konami character because of this?

This, it's already bad enough that I'm having to use the shittiest laptop known to man, nevermind when I click on a mystery link, watch the browser freeze for ten seconds, wait for the tab to load because I'm at the very end of the router range, see that it's the same video again, close it and then wait another 10 seconds whilst the browser is frozen.
I don't think embedding every single video directly into the post is the way you want to go, ever. It's one of the things MobileGAF complains about the most when it comes to lists of videos (often to music). Plus, if Joe's laptop is that slow, it'd probably lag like hell as it loads up every single video embedded.

What I use, personally, is a Greasemonkey script that pops up a thumbnail/title for any video linked to when you hover the mouse over the link, or if it's a raw YouTube URL, replaces it with the video's title, so I'm rarely uncertain what's being linked to in any given context. Even has the option to open the video in a little movable window superimposed on the tab you're already on, so you can continue reading the thread while it plays in the corner or something. Userscripts.org seems to be down right now, but when it's up, you should be able to find it from here.

They are?

Yeah I main Diddy in PM who is largely the same as he was in Brawl. Glide Tossing is still fun at least lol.

I still use Wario, but the change in making him a more straightforward offensive aerial character (not unlike Jigglypuff, actually) kinda turned me off.

Yeah give me that delicious Snake hype...

Nintendo also recently went out of their way to make MGS3D available for download and give it it's own Miiverse community in Europe.

I don't know if any of this means anything, but I'll take what I can get.

There's a chance that the copyright for Snake is only for Brawl and that a new deal would have to be made for Smash 4.

Would be a travesty if dint make it.

What was the rationale for changing Wario the way they did in PM? He always seemed fine in vanilla Brawl to me.

I prefer Brawl Pit over PM Pit myself.

I feel the exact opposite, Pit in Brawl was one of the characters I was most excited for pre-release who ended up being a disappointment when I played the game. I play Pit a lot in Project M he's just more enjoyable in their mod.

The only characters I don't enjoy as much in Project M is Ice Climbers, I was great with them in Melee and Brawl but in Project M something about them just doesn't click with me anymore :/

Nothing, it's just that the shoulder charge is cooler and more iconic. If there was an option to have both - like I was suggesting earlier in making the shoulder charge a neutral special - I would take it in a heartbeat. But if it was one or the other, well... it's gotta be the shoulder charge!
And this is coming from someone who vastly prefers the WarioWare games to the Wario Lands.
Haha. Wario Land is my favorite franchise and yet I wouldn't replace any of his specials. I though the direction taken for him in Brawl was great, and it gave me a character with a super fun playstyle that I wouldn't want to see go.

But the shoulder charge is in Brawl..

Yeah I never understood this, it's his smash attack which makes perfect sense for the move. Making it his B move in Project M just made Wario over powered especially in FFA

I felt it made sense as such, but given the fact how important the charge is in the Wario Land games, and how much you traverse the levels with it, I feel like relegating it to a super short ranged Smash attack doesn't do it justice.

Thinking about it now....maybe they should make Wario Bike is Up-B special recovery move and Side special shoulder charge?

His recovery move in brawl wasn't that great.....

I guess they could have made the jet version his side b, a slower, weaker, but further distance attack that could give him a bit of vertical recovery in the air while keeping his shoulder charge as a short range smash

You can find it in every single store that sells video games. Seems like they still print it.

That doesn't necessary mean that they still print them.

I think that would be Konami that did that.

Yep this, the right would have to be signed for Smash 4. Beside Snake had his chance let him go in favour for some better and actually fits with Nintendo.

He potentially has three recoveries if he's on his bike, has a fully charged fart and his regular Up B. I don't think it was that big a deal that it was weak?

I'm guessing that he was pretty hard to translate maybe? From what I noticed Project M pretty much tried to fix significant flaws in characters. Wario's primary problems in Brawl, grab release aside, were the limited ground options compared to the air and only having few KO options. The Shoulder Bash pretty much gives him two of these, and the new DSmash complements it. I imagine it was hard trying to balance the Bike into doing that. The problem here is that it gave him a move that pretty much centered his playstyle and simplified it. It really feels like your primary objective is to try to connect another move into it.
I remember when everyone thought he sucked when they nerfed the Shoulder Bash. It was relied on too much. :V He doesn't really suck though and is perfectly viable since he doesn't exactly have notable flaws, but it's just that he doesn't exactly have AMAZING options like all the top characters do, so it just feels better to use someone else. I don't really see many Wario players in tournaments honestly.

I personally always thought he was balanced in Brawl though.

Your bias is showing. Put some clothes on das nasty.
