So they're preserving the Brawl UI aesthetic, eh? Not bad.
Nvm. Here's a bump, I guess. Thanks for the update, tony!![]()
Pic of the day. For the first time ever, I present to you the main menu for the 3DS version!! The icons are even animated. The design concept may look similar if you've played other games I've worked on. But we had a hard time making this one because

The bottom screen displays pictures matching each mode! This was quite a task for the UI (User Interface) designers, but they made it happen. Kudos to them! You can tap the screen to look up additional info like how to play--complete with diagrams.

It's more of a Sakurai trademark. So they're preserving the Brawl UI aesthetic, eh? Not bad.
I love DS/3DS games with the clock in there somewhere so I know exactly how late it is without looking at the clock/out the window.
I see you survived the timeskip.

I like it! But...what's the single player gonna be under? We know it has it, but where is it?
Also, games & more...guessing the demos from Brawl return? >.>. I mean, it's more content...which means it'll take longer to download.
I imagine it'll be getting to fight other people's Amiibos, sort of like A Link Between Worlds Shadow Link mode.Have they talked about Streetpass yet? Might be cool.

How are we supposed to get to OT 12 by Monday with such a small update?
You think Sakurai has time to unlock everybody on his schedule? Yeah right.Just think that just 2 clicks away is the whole roster.
We are so close, yet so far awayJust think that just 2 clicks away is the whole roster.

The more I think about the Amiibo implementation, the more I like it. It's a really good balance of not making you have buy all the figures (though, some people won't be able to resist), but adding a fun element to the game. That would be cool if you could fight high level AI from it.
I'm willing to bet that it just leads to a bunch of achievements that you can do. Sort of like how Kid Icarus: Uprising had the Power Portrait/Treasure Hunt.Intriguing. Does the "Challenge" panel lead to the typical single player modes? Does even Training mode fall under it? Or do some of them exist under "Games & More"? What even does "Games & More" mean? Presumably it includes what Brawl had under the Vault and Options, but what Games? Are the little demo Masterpieces coming back?I hope not, they were pointless.
The menu isn't as self-explanatory as Brawl's was, which is disappointing.
This is the most bizarre image. "Tired? Why not jump out the window!"
The challenge icon is the most interesting to me. Event Matches?
Sneaky Sakurai, leaving all the interesting modes hidden even when showing the UI!
I wonder if Single Player stuff is inside the Smash menu...
Yeah, having the Wii U icon right there really suggests there might be quite a bit to the connectivity between both games.Glad to see the Wii U having its own icon I want a lot of connectivity. Challenge is probably home run and target smash. I'm interested the Games & More icon. I liked the coin launcher in Brawl.
Oh yeah, good call. That's probably right.
I would love if both versions of Smash 4 had a whole bunch of panels to complete in that vein. I never got around to doing all of them in Kid Icarus of Kirby Air Ride, but I would totally go for 100% completion in Smash Bros.!I'm willing to bet that it just leads to a bunch of achievements that you can do. Sort of like how Kid Icarus: Uprising had the Power Portrait/Treasure Hunt.
I hope we'll see something like KI:U with a beautiful artwork of all the characters hidden behind the squares!

Here's part 2 if you're interested.

35 more PotDs until release. Yes I know there will probably be PotDs afterwards but I won't care then. I'm guessing....
10 pictures of old stages
5 pictures of Mii moves
5 pictures of old items
5 Smash run enemies
5 Pokeball Pokemon
4 Menu pictures
1 post about Falco being cut
It would be really odd to me to have all of the Vault, Data, Options, AND traditional Solo under one big "Games & More" panel, though.
Fixing Sing is an awfully hard challenge, but I think it can be doneI'm in this boat. I'd much rather them fix Sing than take it out.
