Should have been on the left side. The hell am I suppose to properly control that thing with my index finger?

The idea is brilliant but putting it on the right side was dumb.

Isn't it on the left side in the second pic? Looks like that's the backside.

It's on the left side, the pic is of the back. (The sticks are on the same side)

Still hoping CCPro support is in, I expect it to be since KI supported it and it would make sense.

Also interesting that the stick is set to release on Oct 11, right after the NA Smash launch. It's built for Monster Hunter though.

Dream wish for Metroid stages:

Wii U
- Phendrana Drifts
- Sanctuary Fortress or Torvus Bog
- Skytown Elysia

3DS
- The Tunnel (Metroid II)
- Metroid Fusion stage (possibly either AQA or the frozen-over sectors)
- Oubliette (from Metroid Prime: Hunters - would serve as the game's vertically scrolling stage)

I think as far as Adventure Mode goes, Nightmare would make a crazy awesome stage boss.

I would replace one of the Prime stages with something from Super Metroid. Upper Brinstar and Crateria are cool.

Seriously, 3DS-only Smash sounds like my worst nightmare.

Well at least both games look fantastic.

Believe me, played Smash 3DS extensively yesterday and it exceeded my already high expectations.

There was something about seeing Toon Link's bomb clouds in 3D what got my heart racing.

I'm going to buy it and I'm going to enjoy it, but I'm going to hate the controls and it's going to take away from the first-time experience of the WiiU version somewhat.

A great fighting game = Nightmare?

What the actual fuck?

For one, the idea of playing on a 3DS at a tournament as opposed to using a comfortable wired controller on a proper set up sounds horrible.

And for two, I wouldn't be able to play it with any of my flatmates because they'd all have to buy a 3DS rather than just use their gamecube controllers on my WiiU.

I really want them to release an OST this time! Whoever though it was a good idea to skip that in brawl should be fired

Edit:

New Hori circle pad pro. lol I'm kinda curious how this would work with Smash.

To anyone who doesn't release why the stick is there I wanna just say that this was designed for MH. The stick is there to replicate the "claw" on the 3Ds

I want another concert too, though this time with actually good recording (there's a lot of weird subtle sounds in the tracks, and no it's not just my CD)

So the one running around the internet is not official? Oh well. The cover looked like ass now that I think about it.
Well, the game names every track.. Its not hard to just put everything together and distribute :p

Yup, it's unofficial. Someone ripped all 312 or so brstm files from the game and converted them to MP3

Oh, that reminds me! Are they going to release that "Nintendo Special Big Band 2014" stuff on disc? That Smash medly was so good and having it in a higher quality would be divine!

I can envision a few problems w/ a stage like this, particularly items. Do all the pokemon come out and look normal, or are they somehow ALL converted into black w/ highlights? What about assist trophies?

How easy is it to tell if you see food on the ground... or is it a bobomb? I dunno. Neat idea, but I think one that may have some downsides in execution.

Assist trophies and pokemon don't have highlights. Not being able to tell if it's food on the ground or a bomb sounds like fun to me. I think the only problem is your negativity!

Besides, didn't Sakurai say the 3DS version was the original one, and he was coerced into making a Wii U version?

I remember it being the other way around. Nintendo contacted Sakurai to make a 3ds Smash Bros, but then Sakurai pushed a new console version alongside it too. Of course, I might be remembering wrong, so the actual quote would be useful here.

That DKCR silhouette idea is just too cool just because I'd love to see what aspects of each character would get highlighted to say "this is Mario/Kirby/Link/etc".

I might get suckered into the $100 bundle even though I have a pro controller, a wavebird, and three wired gamecube controllers :(

$80 without a new controller vs. $100 with a tight, brand new controller....

Huuh, what's the leak?

Either that Falco or Wolf are in the game, since their lasers stun, or that Fox's custom moves involve adding stun to his lasers.
Probably Fox having laser stun, since that's something that he could easily forget hasn't been revealed yet since it's fairly minor.

I don't blame the 3DS version for anything, it's simply obvious that the WiiU one would've had more content if 3DS didn't exist. Simple logic. It works both way, 3DS version would have much more content if WiiU didn't exist.
Out of the two, the 3DS one is expendable for me, I'll just unlock everything and then toss it away for the real deal.
I too am sure we'll get a lot of new stages, anyway, at least 50.

This...is not necessarily true. Because they knew from the start they were making two versions of this game, they necessarily have a larger dev team. They've probably got at least two full teams, if not a little more, working on these two games, with the ability to share at least some assets and work, meaning that it's possible that both games actually have more content than they would have if there was only one game, because there are altogether more people working on it. Really, it could go either way.

Umh possible, whatever anyway.

Fletchling is the new best pokeball. Way better than goldeen.

We have no idea what their budget was or if it would have been exactly what they needed to make one game.

Say Wii U game costs (making up really bad numbers here) 50 million, 3DS costs 30 Million, they get exactly 80 million to make it, then whatever. But say they were making JUST the Wii U version, we don't know if they would have been given more than 50 million or JUST the 50 million. IF and only IF it would have been more than my imaginary 50 million, then 3DS is technically taking away resources from a 'more content' wii u version, but we don't know whether they would have been given more money or not.

KI supported it as a lefty friendly mode.

I don't get the part about the tourney, it couldn't possibly have interference or lag as we would have noticed that on the 60 sec stream. I suppose it may not be as comfy as a GC controller but that doesn't sound nightmarish to me. Tell your flatmates they are missing out on the best console of this gen.

Yeah, having to buy 4 3DS to play locally would be a nightmare for me.
Let's say that if that was the case, I would've lost all interest for Smash Bros. probably.

See above, get your friends on the right path. I spent a lot of time in 2013 nagging my pals to get a 3DS and now they love it and I have a burgeoning 3DS community all around me. Get on my level. You guys must have some really relaxing nightmares, seems a bit hyperbolistic otherwise...
